"Its not at the airport :)"
First off, while this might be the closest hilton to the airport, this property is most certainly not at the airport! Stayed one night there. There is no lounge for diamond members, but they do give you free breakfast there as a diamond. The bar is nice and lively when I went in. Food is much above average. I'm used to having airport hotels literally "at the airport" Its about a 15 minute or so ride from the airport to this property. Was about 18 Euros for the cab ride. the shuttle was free. The property is clean and nice, No issues at all.
"Fairly basic, quite a distance from the airport"
After a long flight from the States we tried to find if there was any pickup service. The website was difficult to navigate and ultimately took a taxi for about 10 euro. The check-in was professional which was welcomed. The overall feel of the hotel was a bit average and perhaps could use a good going over. The restaurant was recommended by the staff and will review it separately. We did find that the hotel offers airport service "to" for a couple of euros per person. If you have a rental car, be sure to take the "back way" to the airport and avoid the motorway, it is much easier.
"Great hotel experience"
This was a particularly enjoyable stay at this hotel. My wife and I along with another couple visited Ireland for one week, came back to Dublin, stayed here and then visited Scotland for another week.
"Very nice airport hotel"
Stayed in this hotel with my boyfriend for two nights. The room was very clean and the staff at this hotel were very nice. It was a great value for the price and there are frequent buses to downtown Dublin just down the street. There are also a few restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient.
"Not Close to the Airport, No Outlets Near Bed"
This hotel has potential and the lobby and rooms are tastefully appointed and decorated, however it has some weird quirks. 1) It's not close to the airport at all. I've stayed in Hiltons all over the world and this is the first one that labels itself as an "airport" hotel yet is at least a 20 minute, 20 euro cab ride from the airport. 2) There were no electrical outlets accessible at the bedside. All the wiring is inside the walls. This was problematic for a member of our party who needed to plug in a breathing machine. Had to get an extension cord from the front desk. 3) Airport shuttle runs are not frequent (due to the distance) resulting in long lines and lead times to get to the airport. 4) The night we arrived several roads nearby were blocked off by police and there was a police helicopter flying overhead. Our cabbie claimed the area was known for high drug crime activity'!' Not sure if that's true but I think next time we will stick to the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Dublin.
