"STILL VERY GOOD"
I think for the modest price and convenience of the location especially if travailing further south as well as using the airport, its hard to beat. I did finf the bed a little too hard and of course the cut back in small detail is stilled missed. being a Hilton Gold member for many years ,I realise cut back have to come especially if the price remains very competitive. The staff were very helpful and the service was to a high standard.
"We loved our stay here"
We were surprised at the price for the Hilton in Dublin at the airport. Very well priced and surprisingly good value. We wish we'd stayed here on the way in. The decor was a bit upscale especially the restaurant. We had a lovely dinner with excellent service. We loved the potato wedges, sautéed mushrooms, and steamed green beans with sea salt. The best though was our desserts. The most amazing Baked Alaska ever. A delicious strawberry yumminess inside. The baked meringue was slightly crispy. We almost cried it was so good. The chocolate pecan brownie was also delicious. A little mix up with our bill but all worked out in the end.
"Clean , spacious room "
I was there for one night. The room was nice and clean. But the heater wasn't working, and blasting out cold air. So I tcalled the reception, but no Answer . So I went down to complain. The answer was they were not sure if the engineer was around ( it was before 5 pm on a weekday ). So I said if not fixed, I want to move to another room! The engineer came and said it can't be fixed , but brought a heater , which worked very well . But it was one of those steel radiator thing with naked scorching hot metals uncovered . So I had to be careful that I don't accidentally touch especially when I woke up in the middle of the night in pitch dark . Shuttle bus to the hotel moved from bus stop 14 ( indicated by Booking.com) to 16. I almost missed the bus. I was lucky as the people I asked there kindly took me to 16.
"Very comfortable & quiet close to the airport"
Stay 3 nights in this hotel, very close to the Airport, easy to come with shuttle, sleep very well in large and comfortable room, wifi access is OK, take beakfast, coffee and lunch; everything is fine, staff are very friendly
"May get SICK. Old hotel. Stuffy. Poor HVAC."
In 500 or so hotels nights in my life, this was one of the worst, maybe the worst. 2 thermostats. Only 1 sort of worked. Hot and stuffy when arrived and room could never cool down. Called front desk TWICE. No help at all. Did not sleep at all. No refund of points or offer to make it up when checking out, rather told thanks for bringing issue to their attention. Insulting. Especially for a diamond member. If Hilton Amsterdam Airport is the equator, this Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel is the SOUTH POLE. Id move to Marriott if this is what you'd expect from a brand like this.
