"Another pleasant stay"
Second time here and everything was great. Good location friendly staff and very good restaurants. We've stayed at the Ritz Carlton down the road and it's great, but this is a better value. We'll be back!
"Hilton Oceanfront Ft Lauderdale"
The Hilton Oceanfront is somewhat outdated and VERY expensive for the condition and comfort of someone looking to relax in luxury. The noise from traffic and construction (even with doors closed) was disheartening. The beds were uncomfortable. Excellent service was upside of our stay! Room attendants and pool/dining staff were friendly and accommodating.
"Nice place, staff, pool, and choice of restaurants near by; but far from the beach."
Hotel Staff were really nice and accommodating although the guys at the front entrance area were not all that. The room was exceedingly clean. They updated me to a water view at my request, it had a view of the marina dock and it was perfect! The hotel is farther from the beach than you would expect; but there are easy and cheap ways to get there i.e., the Sun Trolley beach shuttle and i think the hotel offered a free shuttle as well. Overall, you'll like this hotel. I highly recommend it if you don't mind it being farther from the beach.
"Needs some improvements"
Our second stay prior to catching a cruise. Alas it will be our last time. The bed is the worst ! Too soft and much too small for two people to sleep comfortably. A slight movement is like being on an amusement ride. The breakfast brunch looks lovely. However after eating some yogurt, fruit and salmon I was sick within a half and for the rest of the day. Missed a day at the beach. My husband also felt queasy but didn't fall ill. Unlike myself he did not have any of the yogurt. I forgot my sunglasses at the pool side and asked the front desk if they could advise them at the pool side. They did so in front of me. Pool side said they needed time to look so I said we would come back later. Later the same gentleman called the poolside while I stood there and no one had looked nor cared to. The desk attendant became very flustered and embarrassed. I let it go and purchased another pair thereafter. The coffee shop is cute and well stocked however the noise level is deafening! Music much too loud accompanied by sounds from kitchen appliances. For what we paid we deserve better so we are moving on....just saying
"Nice oceanfront location "
Nice outdoor pool, although it could be a bit bigger for a 25-stories hotel. Standard rooms are small, and I have stayed at Hiltons that have an overall more luxurious vibe ( for less money) such as the one in San Diego, for example. Staff is friendly though including the valet folks, after all, it is not their fault that 40$ per day parking seems a bit over the top. Also, what is it with the little communist-style coffee vouchers they give you in exchange for the daily 25$ resort fee that they add to the rate' Save the extra 20$ for breakfast by getting your Croissant at the sort of Starbucks called Marche. Overall, we had a nice long family weekend and found a decent base.
