"Reasonable except for bed comfort"
Hotel looks okay and reception and check-in process was positive. Room looked relatively modern but the bed was really tough and uncomfortable. For me the bed alone is reason of not returning. Breakfast and services are good.
"Good hotel, getting slightly overpriced"
I've been coming to this hotel several times. It was OK in the beginning, but I notice it's starting to get more expensive without getting any better. The hotel choice in Stuttgart is not the greatest and I think this is the only reason I keep coming back to this hotel, although for my future visits I'd definitely take a deeper look at the options. Room is OK, but it shows very well that this is a budget hotel, especially if you don't get an upgraded room. Bathroom is nice. Breakfast is nice, although ends early at 10:00, if I'm not mistaken. I also had a problem with the staff. At check-in, the guy sees my girlfriend's Polish passport and starts speaking Polish to her, explaining some stuff about the hotel, etc. I don't believe this is acceptable, especially since it's obvious I don't speak Polish. Anyway, kinda rude but not a bid deal, I said to my self. Then we go to the room and for some reason the couch is made into a bed, with sheets and everything. I went downstairs to have a smoke and ask the Polish guy if we can make it back into a chair, should he send someone to the room or something, to which he replied "why don't you do it yourself, you look smart". Extremely impolite and unacceptable behavior for any hotel staff, not to mention Hilton brand. I'd rate this hotel Good, but there's no such option, and it's definitely not Very Good. These are the reasons I'm rating this hotel as Average, and as I said, I'm not sure I'd keep coming back there.
"Great stop-over to Alps or for local business"
We have been staying here for many years on Friday's as we drive to the Alps. The next early morning we then complete the journey to Austria or the Italian Alps Though a Garden Inn rather than a full fledged Hilton, we find the facilities better and more contemporary than at many Hiltons, and that is not meant as criticism to the Hiltons. In the same building is the Palm Beach sports bar and restaurant which has excellent pizza. Perfect for a stop-over late at night. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, in contemporary German style. There is a nice fitness and sauna area. Breakfast is of course excelllent, in Hilton tradition. Prices for this hotel are extremely reasonable. There is a large public covered parking place, connected to the building. The hotel is easy to reach and in a few minutes you are back on the highway. But beware because many GPS have let us astray and driving all the way through the small streets of Stuttgart for an hour while it is in fact close to the highway. It is right beside the Necker Mercedes Benz arena. Maybe best to use that as a marker for the Satnav.
Stayed here last year and booked again for stopover travelling home from Cortina in Italy. Room was clean with a safe, wi fi etc. Staff very helpful. Good selection at breakfast. Restaurant had a good menu. We arrived around 7 on a Friday night and the place was filling up. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English and encourage us when practising our German.
"3 nights with family in Stuttgart"
We stayed 3 nights with family in Hilton Garden Inn Stuttgart and we enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious with nice view. Everything was clean. Staff was helpful, but please everybody: don't be ashamed claim what you booked to the staff (like breakfast, packages, etc.)! Shopping Package is very good if you plan shopping in Metzingen Outlet village.
