Each time the air conditioner kicked in, the bang was such that could not even reach a decent sleep before being jolted awake. Nothing noted where or even if the building had a fitness center and with the cost of the room, didn't feel it was justified to charge $19 per day for parking. The food was extremely expensive and this was the first Hilton where the bar didn't feel welcoming but more depressing.
"Great place to be based in Houston"
I stayed at the Hilton Houston Post Oak in March. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff were fantastic in all areas and the rooms and facilities were first class. The hotel is well located near the Galleria shopping centre as well as many good places to eat and drink.
"Post Oak does a great job - again!"
Forth year in a row being part of a business group staying at Hilton Post Oak. Again the staff did a great job and now that the rooms have been updated it is a much better experience. The Hilton Post Oak almost makes having to be in Texas bearable.
"Great Stay for a Business Week"
We had a User's Group Meeting at the Hilton Post Oak and a nearby hotel this past January and February and I was scheduled both times to stay at the Hilton. I was not disappointed with the room at all. Both rooms were very nice and clean upon arrival and room service made sure they stayed that way. I can't really comment on the most of the amenities since I was busy most of the time during the day and didn't really have time to enjoy any of them outside the room. THE ROOM: The room was nearly perfect. Everything was clean and neat and the TV was a great size for watching from your bed. The beds were comfortable but my only gripe would be the pillows. They had like 3 or 4 small pillows per bed which made it a bit weird when trying to sleep as I'm used to the standard sized pillow. The bathrooms were really nice and clean as well and never had any issues with any of the plumbing. THE FOOD: We had our lunches at both hotels but I must say I really did enjoy the food at the Hilton a little more as the quality seemed a bit better. They had some great selections and everything was tasty. THE STAFF: Everyone that I ran into at the hotel was super friendly and willing to help in any manner. My first stay here I showed up early and my room wasn't ready, but they were very attentive, offering to keep my bags and asking me if I needed anything at all while I waited. They were kind enough to push my room up to be cleaned sooner and I hadn't waited too long before it was ready. They didn't have to do that for me as check-in time was not for another few hours, but it was greatly appreciated. Overall the stay was great from what I experienced, and I would recommend it as it's close by The Galleria and lots of places to eat and shop.
The Hilton Houston Post Oak location was great. Convenient access to freeway, galleria mall and other Houston locations. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly and courteous. Rooms a great size, clean with separate sink area which allows more than one person to get ready. The restaurant/ bar area was crowded bu the food was good .
