"Beautiful Views and Great Location"
Was here for a conference. Hotel was in need of renovations in the rooms but the views of the LaJolla Beach and Torrey Pines Golf Course were beautiful The Plus's were the staff they were all awesome, looking out for their guests. From check in with Libby and Gary to Rich (who even gave us directions to a grocery store and his discount card) and Jake who always welcomed us The Down side was the Restaurant Do not eat or drink at the Bar the prices, the errors, the over charges and the food was so so. The advise from the hotel staff was to eat at the Lodge and Georges and they were right!

The place is very clean, well maintained and the staff is well trained and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Didn't try the swimming pool or the restaurant. The one thing that nobody likes is to be cheated. I would think it was a mistake when I see they added a $54 charge to my credit card, but then I saw that I was far from alone here. It was one day for $139, not cheap. Reasonable I'd say. But why would you consistently pad what you charge with extra, non existing charges' Utterly disappointed.
Hotel was a nice place to stay. It is an older hotel with a 3-5 year old year reno feel. Has a nice courtyard with pool and hot tub...Hot-tub could have been cleaner (scum around the edges) They charge a resort fee and parking is extra on top of that. The $30 parking charge seemed a little ambitious given the are the hotel is in. The resort fee was not mentioned in the online booking process. A nice surprise after the fact!
"Charged my card 800 usd erroneously but nice otherwise"
I visited this hotel for business recently. The room is somewhat dated and was a bit obscured in shade every day although it is a beautiful location and pool. However about 15 days after my stay I noticed I had an approx 850 USD charged and processed to my amex card. I had to call them several times and follow up via email during my x-mas holiday time and make them aware of the error and also wait days for it to be handled and the charges reversed. At the end, I politely asked for a goodwill gesture (HH points or voucher) for the inconvenience of having to deal with their error and they declined to do anything... @Hilton Hotels, I don't want to deal with your charge and accounting errors in my spare time on my credit. Very disappointed.
I live in San Diego but had to attend a conference at the hotel so stayed one night. It's a bit dated but a nice setting and service was good. You can't really walk to much in terms of nightlife, but everything is a short drive away. Not a bad option.
