"Expected Hilton Experience"
The Hotel is in the city centre - the service was as expected from any hilton hotel. The rooms were clean and the service was good. The music was good (there was a live singer) but it did not help me check in properly as it was difficult to be heard. The speakers need to be re-positioned. The check in was a bit chaoitic as the number of staff ont eh counter were limited. Otherwise I had nothing to complain about.
Stayed here for one night on 22nd October with my better half. Check in was smooth, easy and informative. Booked an executive room so was located on the 6th floor. Receptionist informed us both that the executive lounge was available all day but complimentary drinks and snacks are available 18:00-20:00. The room was comfortable, spacious as should be expected in a world renowned hotel chain. We visited the lounge at 18:00 with the following on offer to eat/drink; two types of bottled beer, three main choices of wine, soft drinks in fridge, vegetable spring rolls, spicy chicken wings, a mixture of canapés, tortilla chips and crisps. We asked the waitress if there were any shorts or other drinks as per on offer in other Hilton hotel executive lounges but she said the above was the selection provided. Disappointed. Stay in the room was good, very very comfortable bed with no issues in the room at all. Breakfast was in the executive lounge, we got the lift up and as we arrived on floor 7, we exited the lift walked into the executive lounge as another couple were leaving, their statement was 'good luck eating in here'. Now, i will literally eat anything, not fussy in the slightest however i took one look at the bacon and immediately informed the better half we are not eating in here. The bacon was swimming in grease and the rest of the options i honestly wouldn't give to an animal. For such a big brand of a hotel chain all around the world i was extremely disappointed by this. When checking out, i was asked if my stay was enjoyable, i informed the receptionist of my breakfast experience and she knocked the breakfasts off the cost of the hotel room (£18.00). Guidance; hotel is perfect location wise but for the price and quality of food/drink i will not be returning, instead i will, in the future, book somewhere different.
Went for a birthday celebration , we were early so went into the bar for a drink, big mistake, the price of the round for three drinks used up our drink allowance for the evening. Beware. The do was good free champers and nibbles but never recovered from the shock of the price of the first round of drinks.
My Wife and I stayed here on 08-10-16 for one night. The hotel location is PERFECT, the Albert Dock and Liverpool One are right outside - both have numerous bars and restaurants. The hotel was of a high standard, very clean and plenty of staff available. Our room was really nice including all the extra items you would expect from a well known hotel. We booked the lounge, this included a variety of drinks and snacks for two hours (6-8p.m) which was really GOOD QUALITY. We also had breakfast which was AMAZING, the variety and standard of food was high. This hotel was 10 out of 10 in all aspects for us.
Could this get any worse... Where to start'!' Initially the room was cancelled as hotel had me arriving yesterday...their error! Rude and difficult staff. Supposedly a global hotel chain... one check in staff at reception with many other staff wandering around chatting to each other while a queue of guests arrive... mini bar not restocked and when you complain they say that's the way it is... Room service appalling...
