"Another London hotel posing as a five star"
Booked a twin room for my son and I. When checking in I even reaffirmed a twin room. Finally got a room at 1630hrs and it was a double. When I asked about a twin room I eventually got a grotty old smokers room smelling of smoke, with a young son just what you want, tried speaking to the duty manager, who did not even wait for me to introduce myself and said he would call me back, that was 15 mins ago and still waiting! Mr Hilton, not sure what the five stars were awarded for but I would be shocked if it was for client satisfaction or even attention to detail.
Absolutely wonderful ! We enjoyed panoramic views from our rooms and from the restaurant on the top floor. The view was so good that I left the curtains open all night..... not that there was much benefit because the bed was so comfortable, I fell asleep instantly. I have written a separate review in respect of the restaurant. Breakfast was on the Ground Floor and was an experience in itself. Everything you could possibly imagine was there - plus a many other things in addition. Everything was top quality. I started with porridge, on top of which I sprinkled seaweed flakes (just for the hell of it ) . After that I tret myself to another 4 courses before I had to give in. Then there's the staff, who are attentive, efficency and superbly trained. I could go on. If you ever get the chance, stay there, is my advice. P.S. The WiFi is "only" £12:50 per day in your room.
"What you'd expect from one of the best hotel groups in the world..."
Checked in for one night by using my hhonnors points and got an executive king size room with access to the executive lounge. The room was good, clean and had a good view of London skyline and park lane with a small view of Hyde Park. Breakfast was good, afternoon tea in the executive lounge was very good and well worth the visit. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the hotel for making me feel welcome.
"Great location poor management"
I am in London staying at the London Hilton Park lane. Wonderful location just across from Hyde park. The rooms are comfortable but two things let it down badly. Firstly the internet wireless signal is shocking. Making a whatsapp call is terrible. The call gets dropped and the signal switches between hhonours and btopen. The second is that i have no soap in the room andthey do t replace used shapoos and bath gels. I have asked twice now and 25minutes later i am still waiting. Shcoking room sefice for a hotel like this.
"AFTERNOON TEA WAS SCRUMPTIOUS"
I went for afternoon tea with my husband bought for us by our daughter for our wedding anniversary before a show later on in the evening. From the time we walked in to the time we left the waiting staff were incredible. Helpful & so polite. We do go for afternoon tea in different establishments, but found that we loved the food here & it is number 2 on our list. We could have the amount we wanted & walked out very stuffed.... with the lovely sandwiches & cakes that were a treat for the eyes as well as for the taste. We would definately recommend anyone to go here & try it out.
