One of London’s grandest Victorian hotels, Hilton London Paddington offers a fantastic location at Paddington Station. Just 15 minutes from Heathrow airport via the Heathrow Express and with four London Underground lines on the doorstep — Circle, Hammersmith & City, District, and Bakerloo — it remain one of the best-connected hotels in the capital.
Overall a good hotel to stay.Comment of P. Leong Hooi , Singapore the 2016-10-30
"Standard Hilton "
I stayed in March 17 and had a very nice stay. My room was large and quiet and I experienced no additional noise during my stay. I felt the lobby area and lounge space to be quite busy, so didn't spend much time there, but it looked popular. There are lots of bars/restaurants near by, however the Paddington area isn't the best. I would have no reservations staying again if in the area.
"Looks Aren't Everything"
It's a beautiful hotel with a nice foyer and hallways and dining areas and lounges. It's also directly connected to Paddington Station so it's a quick walk to/from the station directly through the hotel's linking corridor. However...looks aren't everything. We made reservations months ago for 2 rooms, and 1 of those rooms was a family room for 3 persons. It was a prepaid nonrefundable rate inclusive of breakfast made directly through Hilton's website. I took the time and trouble of checking in online and choosing the exact rooms so they would be close together. Upon checkin the family room only had 1 bed, a light fixture that had been disconnected and pieces lying around the room. We made a quick call to the front desk and told them of the issue and then went out for dinner. Upon returning the bedding situation had been corrected as had the disconnected light. However, the air conditioning did not work and by morning the room was sweltering and uncomfortable. We did manage to open the window to let cool air in from the outside, but you can only open the window about 5 inches so it didn't help much at all. Now that we're home I checked my credit card bill and there are charges for our breakfast...remember I booked breakfast inclusive rate and verified with the front desk when I checked in. So now I have to deal with that. The hotel's furnishings look nice, but looks aren't everything. To top it off there's a note on the minibar that says if you even TOUCH/MOVE anything in the minibar you will be charged for it. Really' That's NOT the way to entice THIS customer to return. We had much better service and a really nice room at the brand new Hub Hotel Westminister for only 88GBP per night. Come on Hilton - you need to shape up!
"Good business hotel"
The hotel is very practical for Business. It is directly connected to the Paddington train station. It means direct access to the airport express. The staff is very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. Just in the back of the hotel you can find the little Venice with lovely canals and restaurants.
My wife and I stayed in this hotel in 10.3 - 13.3. Our room was 531. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Only negative thing was that the room was a bit warm even thought it had an air condition. But opening the windows helped to cool the room temperature down. If you want to stay in a hotel with good location, you should choose this hotel. The hotel breakfast was a great traditional English breakfast. The continental breakfast was also included. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants a high quality stay.
"Convenience at its best "
We booked to stay in this hotel for pure convenience. We arrived early morning in London and by chance they had a room ready . Quick shower and change and off to meetings . The location is great straight from Heathrow express into the hotel . To get back to the airport just as easy . The hotel is on the underground so easy to go around the whole of London. Good choice for quick in and out London trip .
