One of London’s grandest Victorian hotels, Hilton London Paddington offers a fantastic location at Paddington Station. Just 15 minutes from Heathrow airport via the Heathrow Express and with four London Underground lines on the doorstep — Circle, Hammersmith & City, District, and Bakerloo — it remain one of the best-connected hotels in the capital.
Overall a good hotel to stay.Comment of P. Leong Hooi , Singapore the 2016-10-30
"Beautiful Historic Hotel directly connected to Paddington Station"
We switched hotels for our final night in London so we could be closest to Paddington Station! This hotel was not only next door but directly connected to the Station. We enjoyed an amazing Indian meal just down the street and a relaxing final evening in London. Encourage anyone to stay at this beautiful hotel in the heart of London!
"Nice location but.."
Good location but you pay for a full service hotel.. ok if you get the full service. However the bar tonight is "unavailable " due to a private function.. how is that full service!!! Almost £200 a night and the bar is closed due to a private function. . Seems like double dipping to me! Nk mor Hilton for me.
"Great Location but problems with GWR Towers"
This was my first stay at this property, and I got a fairly good deal at 209 GBP which included a Towers room, full dinner & breakfast, along with a AMEX rebate of $50. I arrived early (around 10am) and having preselected my room was happy that it was ready. I was not asked if I needed assistance with luggage (I didn't), and was given directions to the nearby elevator, told to go to the 2nd fl, then make 2 lefts to get to the Towers. Needless to say, I got lost, and had to ask a staffer for assistance to the Towers, he brought me back to the original elevator. I went back to the front desk, to inquire and was told I would have to wait my turn behind 8 other guests. I left and ventured back to the elevator. This time (after a long, meandering walk) I did manage to find the Towers area. Room was nicely appointed and view was good. Bathroom was fine, with large soaking tub and separate shower (note, when empting the tub, a loud gurgling sound was found coming from the sink). Also the heating element was pretty loud at all times. I went up to the 7fl Lounge where I had been told breakfast was still available, and found only tea, coffee and soft drinks-- but no one was there to ask about breakfast items. In fact during my stay, I only saw the Lounge staffed during the evening. I did go down to the Executive Lounge where there was more selection-- also a great view of the train terminal! Later that afternoon, back in my room, I called down about ice, and was told there were no machines in the Towers, but to go the the 7fl Lounge. Again at the lounge with no staff, I didn't find any ice and was told by another guest that the only place to get ice would be in the 2nd Fl Executive Lounge. Evening cocktail service began at 6pm in both Lounges, and I found the selection of beverages to be identical with food offerings a bit better in the Executive Lounge. My rate included dinner at the Brasserie which was excellent! The food was great, as was the total experience. As I had an early flight, I was not able to take breakfast, nor were either of the Lounges open until 6:30am, so missed those as well. The location can't be beat, especially if taking the HEX or for getting around London. Would I stay here again, yes-- due to location, but I found the hotel a bit dated, and was hoping more from the GWR Towers, so I most likely would just go for a regular room, unless offered a similar deal.
"Busy Business hotel with excellent transport connections."
The hotel is actually a bit drab and could do with a refurbishment, but super location to hold a business meeting. However I would suggest you book a meeting room as the foyer/lounge area is packed with people having ad hoc meetings and is rather noisy. Ask for a bedroom facing the train station as they are quieter than those looking out to Praed Street.
"Great location - great room"
I was travelling solo on business, the week before Christmas. The city was very busy and all the transit was pretty crushed. The convenience of having the hotel just upstairs from where you get on and off the Heathrow Express was fabulous. The room was very well fitted and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable and I got a great sleep.
