One of London’s grandest Victorian hotels, Hilton London Paddington offers a fantastic location at Paddington Station. Just 15 minutes from Heathrow airport via the Heathrow Express and with four London Underground lines on the doorstep — Circle, Hammersmith & City, District, and Bakerloo — it remain one of the best-connected hotels in the capital.
Overall a good hotel to stay.Comment of P. Leong Hooi , Singapore the 2016-10-30
Nice lounge on the ground floor of the hotel, right next to Paddington Station. Very nice staff, and efficient with orders. However, this is a breakfast option, for £10.95. It's frankly revolting - soggy tasteless scrambled eggs, hash browns probably cooked from frozen. English cooking can be wonderful, but this sort of muck lets the hotel down enormously.
Or Bertie Wooster' The reception area has great Thirties ambience. Yasmine was wonderfully helpful with an upgrade to a suite. She advised the new tower rooms as she warned that the older rooms may be in need of refreshing. She was right. The light burr walnut of the bedroom was a delight and the bedroom was quiet despite facing Praed Street but the sitting room was small and the furniture was looking tired. There was real coffee though and a coffee machine. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Television channels were rather limited. Breakfast was included in the Executive lounge. There was a good range of pastries, cooked buffet and the DIY espresso was excellent. Anna the waitress was extremely helpful, professional and friendly. All in all a very pleasant stay.
"Next to Paddingtn Station, Good for Bussiness meetings"
My company planned a huge conf in Paddington and it involved 3 Hotels , Hilton London Paddington, Hilton Metropole and The Landmark . I stayed in all 3 on various nights so now in a position to compare all 3. The accommodation & room are good. And English Breakfast is the best here. Since this is a big hotel , room service is very slow to respond , you may not need it actually .
"Another wonderful stay - Can't wait to go back"
We have been staying here for years - once or twice annually. We have stayed in many different rooms in the hotel, and all have been excellent, with extremely comfortable bedding. Service is excellent, from the front desk to the concierge services, and including all of the staff responsible for maintaining the rooms. The location couldn't be better - if you arrive at Heathrow Airport, take the Heathrow Express, and when you arrive at Paddington Station, you arrive at the front desk of the hotel in less than five minutes. Lots of food and other shopping options in the station, and excellent Underground (subway) service on several different lines. And great bus service to and from the center of London. 10 minutes away is Hyde Park.
We stayed one night prior to leaving for a cruise. The location is excellent, the staff was very accomodating. Nice older hotel, very clean. Loved the fact that it was an easy trip from the airport to the hotel directly on the train. And yes, there is a Paddington Bear store right there. Location was a quick walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as one of the stops for the Hop On/Hop Off bus. Conceirge staff were wonderful, and the hotel staff quick to get a room ready for us at 8am when we arrived from the airport. A great reflection of London.
