"Good hotel but very pricey"
Good hotel, decent but very expensive food. £200 for the night without breakfast for a hotel in Greater London with no access to nearby tube links. Overall clean and pleasant. I'll be avoiding this again.
"Hit and miss"
Booked a last minute weekend away for our anniversary. Paid a fair amount t g money and don't feel as though value was felt. Check in was fine but we went to use the spa facilities we where told that there was no room and told to come back in a hour. This was a huge disappointment as we where planning on a relaxing start to our weekend. After several phone calls and lots of waiting we where allowed to use the facilities..... But this was close to our dinner booking. Dinner was ok, no complaints with the food or service. Booked extra time for massage for both of us which was mediocre at best. The maseuar didn't seem that engaged with treatment. Room was very nice ( we upgraded at a cost to a king room). The hotel is nice and a perfect location. Just a few let downs. After spending over £400 for a weekend I would expect it to be faultless.
"Great on the surface, poor service lets it down substantially..."
My husband and I stayed at the hotel as a late Valentine's Day celebration for a romantic getaway. The hotel itself is well maintained, decorated beautifully and is in a good location surrounded by Syon Park greenery. We booked directly with Hilton as Honors members and took advantage of their upgrade offer to request a King room - which came with extra space, a balcony and a bath (with TV built in to the wall). The hotel were kind enough to deliver a Happy Valentine's cake and decorated plate to our room, which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately for all the positives this hotel has, our getaway was quite disappointing and did not live up to expectations. We spent an hour at the pool in the spa and as relaxing and as lovely as the pool area has the potential to be, it was utter chaos - there must have been around 30 towels strewn across chairs and loungers making the whole area look rather untidy. In addition to that, after a number of small children joined the pool with their parents, jumping in and splashing constantly, it made for a difficult swim and we chose to leave sooner than we had hoped. In addition to that, the pool area did smell awful - particularly around the drains. As did the shower areas of the changing rooms. We had booked a meal in the evening in the hotel's Marco Pierre White Steakhouse. The restaurant was one of the main draws for us booking in to the hotel, as we were keen to eat in the same property at a quality restaurant as we were staying at. The food and cocktails were up to good standards, as was the service from the waiting staff and on the whole it was a lovely meal. Our chateaubriand steak however did arrive cold, which was a disappointment, but we didn't want to complain about it as we didn't really want to wait longer for it to be reheated. We returned to our room afterwards, and had planned to share a bath with a bottle of champagne we had left in the room, so we called Room Service once we arrived back to the room to request a bottle of ice be brought to the room. We had to call up a further two times to chase the delivery of the ice, and then finally a third call was made to Reception to complain why the ice still hadn't arrived almost 90 minutes later. We were told by Reception that "they are very busy" and was given no apology. By this time it was 10.50pm. I found it hard to believe that Room Service was this busy that our ice still hadn't arrived 2 hours after phoning up, despite chasing for it 3 times. We were polite and understanding on every call we made to them, so it was disappointing to have not been given an apology or reassurance that it was on its way. I believe priority was given by the hotel to the guests in the hotel's bar, that seemed to be quite busy. I found out the next day that the hotel is a popular bar for locals to visit at the weekend, so it's sad to find that non-residents of the hotel were being given priority over staying guests. Further to these grumbles, we also found the bedroom to be extremely warm - and had to sleep with the balcony door open all evening and the air con was having little to no effect. We were told the next day at check out that if we wanted to change the temperature, we have to ask Reception to do this as they control it - which seems bizarre!! On the whole, a rather disappointing stay.
Lovely weekend stay at this hotel. Breakfast buffet was the best i have ever experienced in a hotel before! The bathroom was amazing with a tv to watch whilst you relax! I stayed in the kingg junior suit and would highly recommend this room! Spa and pool was beautiful and very clean! Customer service 100% from all staff members! Would go back anytime!
"Great hotel awesome atmosphere "
Spent a few days there, I have to admit service is friendly and the rooms exceptionally clean. Although I think it's a little pricy to drink there the bar tenders and waiters really make you feel at home and worth the extra pound or two. The food and breaks fast is exceptional. Staff are wonderful and facility has plenty to do. Beautiful scenery excellent views just definitely going to stay here more often.
