"Not for business "
This is a very old hotel that needs a whole bunch of updates: no warm shower in the morning, power outlets turn off, when you turn out light, internet connection shaky, interior outdated. However, The staff is super friendly.
"Not the best but decent for the $"
Good points - close to Grand Central, staff are super helpful, quite reasonably priced for NYC. Bad points - room small - typical for NYC, air con incredibly noisy - kept making this bang noise every 5 mins, sound proofing not great. I'd probably stay here again.
Having read many reviews of how small New York hotel rooms are, it was a pleasant surprise to stay in room 602 at this hotel which was a very decent size. With dual aspect windows overlooking the UN building, it's a 10 minute walk to Grand Central station and Chrysler building which means it is a great location. The mini gym and sauna were good. The bed was comfortable and bathroom too was a decent size & clean. Reception staff were pleasant. I would recommend this hotel for a reasonably priced central option in the Big Apple !
"Worst New York hotel"
I expect better from Hilton. The tv didn't wor; the wi if didn't work. The power outlet on the desk didn't work. The hotel engineer couldn't fix the TV. The service was horrible. I arrive at 11:30 pm, and when I figured out these issues I demanded a new, but all sold out. Stay ANYWHERE but here.
"A night in NY."
A great night close to NYU where I was attending a meeting. Great price and friendly staff. The restaurant/snack area had a very nice selection of foods and drink, and the hostess at the bar was very personable.
