"Expected a lot more from a Hilton Hotel"
Stayed at the Hilton Munich Park for one night in March. I would say this was one of my worst experiences at a Hilton Hotel and I visit Hiltons very frequently as a Diamond member. The weather was abnormally warm when I checked in to the hotel so I was looking forward to getting to my room and turning it a bit cold. First when I walked in, the room smelled of cheap cologne then I realized when I tried to adjust the thermostat, the AC wasn't working. I thought about opening the window but the sun was shining straight into the room which would make it even warmer. I called the front desk asking if there were any rooms available with a functioning AC or a room that doesn't have direct sunlight shining into the room so I can open the window. The receptionist told me in a very annoyed tone that the hotel has been having some AC issues for the last couple of days and that they don't have another room for me. I'm not trying to be a hard critic but I think I should have been notified at check in that the hotel is having cooling system issues. Doesn't matter if it's the spring summer fall or winter, a hotel that considers themselves 4 stars should have rooms with functioning cooling and heating functions. Also- don't sound annoyed when one of your most loyal customers asks you about an issue. I will not be staying at this property again.
"Great place to "Park"!"
I prefer this hotel to the Hilton city which feels like 3 stars compared to this place. Modern, fresh style design wise. No experiments in terms of design here, however it works, its solid and I love it. Enjoying my last days as a diamond member I was upgraded to an executive floor room. When I told the the check in clerk about the awesome upgrade I got at the Conrad Hong Kong (two room suite!) he kind of apologized for not being able to give me an even better upgrade and even threw in a free drink voucher. Awesome! Nice space room, recently renovated. Standard Hilton amenities (that means good!) The executive lounge food was better than many other Hiltons. However still nowhere near the undisputed champion in this discipline: the Conrad Singapore! People's bar (in the lobby) was a bit empty this weekend but once again a great venue to entertain my guests. Sparkling wine rounds off an awesome breakfast buffet. Friendly attentive staff. The only thing I noted was the miso soup branded as Chinese breakfast (its Japanese guys!). All of my high expectations were met. As often in Germany it's an almost unbeatable value for money. I was trying my very best to find something substantial to complain about (relevant to this price category) but I failed miserably. Hence solid 5 stars. Keep up the great job guys!
"Great hotel and not difficult to reach"
We stayed for a week, great hotel in terms of services and people , we were upgraded to executive floor with the view over the tea garden, it was a wonderful to see a park than seeinf building. Beakfast was excellent, we optioned to eat at the restaurant downstairs as it had more options and selections. Everything you wished was availabke even fresh carrot juicer was available for your convenience. Fesh coffee, breads ,cheeses, fruits ,you name it. Going back to the room, it was big well furnished for a five star hotel, bathroom was clean and tidy, a bit dated, two bottles of water was availabe daoy and you can take anything you wast from the lounge to your room. I had a car so it cost me about 26 euro/day ,they will park it for you ,just stop at the entrance and they will take it from there . Location is a bit outside the center , but it cost you about 7 euros for a bus and train ticket to go to downtown which is about 29 minutes ride, the goid thinngis that the bus stops just beside the hotel so no hassle at all. One thing I wish hotlon hotel group to do is to update their bathroom amenities, they haven't changed it for a very long time and I just hate using it anymore. So , it is a good hotel, good location, nice people, Well done
"With bicycles for rent"
I stayed in 3 different hotels that week and this is the only where I would have liked to stay longer. Rated 'green leader', this hotels offers bikes for rent (€ 16 for the day), which is a great way of getting around Munich especially if you need to go somewhere not far from the English Garden. I really enjoyed going to my meetings by bike. For those of us who like to keep fit while traveling, the gym is a highlight, in particular the large area for stretching and core exercises, which has got the excellent Airex mats. The pool is small, but better than no pool. Food wise, the breakfast is plentiful: I loved the raspberry and passion fruit smoothie. The evening menu is not the biggest around but I very much enjoyed my room service, especially the grilled veg salad. Compliments to the chef. Transport wise, the bus number 150 takes you direct to the main station, no need for a taxi. Likewise, another bus right by the hotel takes you to Ostbahnhof, and from there you quickly get to the airport. Again, this saves you the taxi and the associated risk of getting stuck in traffic. So, while this hotel may not be the grandest looking from the outside, it really ticked all the boxes for me.
"Great stay as always!"
We visit Germany once or twice a year and always stay in Munich making it our hub. We stay exclusively at the Munich Park location every time. It has never been less than perfect (even when during the heatwave of July 2016 the AC went out for 3 days), Being a Hilton Diamond Member, it allows me to stay at any Hilton location around the world but I think this location is one of the best in areas of service and location. We will be there again in June '17 for one week of fun and vacation in Munich and surrounding area.
