"Nice hotel in great location. "
Very friendly staff that check you in. Bartenders were very nice and helped with recommendations on things to do. The only downfall to this hotel is the bed. It is very firm and uncomfortable. The pillows are fluffy but the mattress is way too hard.
"On the River, View Not Noteworthy, Room was basic but clean"
Was on the 23rd floor, hoping for a view. They don't tell you you're paying extra to watch brown sludge, would have preferred if they suggested city view when I booked. This place is set up for conferences, so if you're not part of one you can find comparable hotels, closer to the French Quarter or whatever part of the city you'd like with the same or higher quality rooms. However, being part of a massive complex means you can go shopping if you wish without ever stepping outside. Several miscommunications with the cleaning staff; we returned from dinner around 6:30 to find them with soap operas on in our room. NOT COOL. Our keys also kept deactivating; security had to reset our door after our 4th trip down to have the keys reset. If you're there for a conference or that odd little casino, it's perfect. Clean. Two beds. Wifi.
"An excellent business trip"
My one week business trip to New Orleans was greatly enhanced by my excellent experience of staying at the Hilton Riverside Hotel. All the staff that I had direct dealings with were excellent in the customer service that they gave.
"Excellent hotel and unforgetable tour!"
Even we were so busy dicovering the new orleand history and culture, this hotel offered an amazing costumer service and exciting nighttime full of fun and friends. Very close to historic center, museums and typical restaurants with best cajun gumbo!
For starters our room felt dame and smelled moldy/stale. Given I have allergies, this wasn't optimal. Daily room cleaning was essentially a drop off of towels (if you were lucky) and bed making. No attention paid to cleaning the bathroom, removing trash, etc. it's a Hilton... it's not terrible and it's close to some of the attractions but I have stayed in far better and equally convenient accommodations in NOLA for a comparable room rate. Let's just say, I won't be returning or recommending...
