"Hilton Riverside New Orleans"
This was our first time in New Orleans. So much to see and do. I just spent 8 days with my daughter (age 24) at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans and without doubt the experience was first class. Southern hospitality really showed at this hotel and the entire staff were helpful, friendly and willing to share their experiences of this city. In particular, I would like to mention 3 staff members who were simply wonderful. Firstly, Ayn Hunter at the check-in desk. I arrived on my birthday and she upgraded me to a suite with both a City and Water view at no extra cost. Secondly, Debra Williams who served us in the breakfast room who was so willing to talk about her City and the effects of Hurricane Katrina on local people. She was tremendous. As was Darron, who also served us - his southern friendliness was wonderful. If we visit New Orleans again, we would definitely stay at this hotel. Alan Pailing - Bermuda
Stayed here for 5 nights for a conference. Check in - so this is a bit odd as reception is one floor up from the ground level. Hilton honors queue was short when i checked in so this worked well but other times as I walked by it was actually longer. So, if you want a nice view you have to pay for it. Whatever you have booked you can pay more and they will give you a river view. I think this is a little sad and a bit cheap for Hilton. I asked for a view without paying more and they gave me a high room but a city view. The location of this hotel is the real key to its value. Its 5 mins to the convention Centre, 15 mins to Bourbon Street and 20 mins to the Dome. For this reason alone I would come back to here. The room is standard but added value with a good size fridge in all rooms. There are stores all around for a beer or soft drinks to stock the fridge. The gym is crap as you have to pay extra so i ran around the hotel. Along the river is fine but you can only really do 3 miles without repeating yourself.
My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay in New Orleans at the Hilton Riverside for our Anniversary and I can't say nothing but good things about our stay. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. This was our second stay here after a 12 year gap and we plan on returning in April.
I have stayed at this hotel a couple times. I like the location. The staff is sometimes nice and helpful and sometimes not. It depends on who you get. The rooms are very average, nothing special. There are a lot of food selections and close to many restaurants. It is a good hotel not great.
"Covenient to visit Riverside Outlet"
Very convenient to visit Riverside Outlet, where the guest can visit through a connecting corridor. I requested River-view room but could not see the whole 360 degrees scene because there were wings on both sides. Air-conditioner was poor and beds were small. Difficult to find the driveway apron, because it is located on the side of the building.
