I loved this hotel. It was just a short walk to Downtown Disney and the bus system was great for traveling to the parks. There was even a large Mears bus that picked us up during the busy time. That was great foresight on the hotel's planning. The price was a great value and the staff was very hospitable. I plan on staying here again in the near future! Thank you! Oh, and the terrace with a view of the Disney fireworks was a great unexpected surprise! Thank you!Comment of L. Randall , United States the 2014-10-11
Perfect place to stay if visiting Downtown Disney. Walk across the street and you are there! Free transportation to all Disney Parks. If you fly in or drive in for the Disney Vacation, no car is needed. I will stay here again!Comment of O. Paula , United States the 2014-10-03
"Nice staff, but eh...."
The people here were great. And the location is good if you want to be near Disney (very far from the city and the airport though if you're coming for business). Anyway, the walls are very very thin. And there's a loud bar area in the middle of the building atrium which makes it even louder in the rooms. Also the place is very dated. And my bathtub wasn't very clean. And my sheets kept coming off the bed, exposing the bare mattress. Little stuff like that. Bottom line: Don't expect luxury. But if you're coming here with kids and don't have high expectations, it's probably fine. The pool area looks cool.
"10th Anniversary holiday"
We are currently staying at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace and having a great time. We wanted a special holiday for our 10th Anniversary but we were worried about staying because of the many negative reviews, thankfully our worries have been unfounded. On check in we asked for a refurbished room but were told there were none available and that our room would be in the island suites part of the hotel ( yet to be started with refurbishments) but that they would make a note and if a room became available they would move us. We haven't heard anything but to be honest we wouldn't move anyway. The island part of the hotel does need a facelift but it is clean and comfortable, we are so close to the wonderful pool and lazy river and just a short walk to Disney Springs what more do we need. Yes the parking is way over the other side of the hotel and is quite a trek away but doesn't everyone do miles of walking anyway when at Disney'' The restaurant looks lovely but expensive so we'll probably be giving that a miss. I had read on some reviews hilton honours members received a voucher for a free breakfast but although we are members we were not offered anything. The pool bar looks like it will be amazing when finished and will be a great complement to the new pool area. All the staff have been very friendly and we are looking at when we can come again even before we have finished this trip. Take no notice of negative reviews try it yourself you won't be disappointed.
"Employee service got this hotel a better review"
We stayed on points for five days. There are some issues getting around the property because of construction, but nothing unmanageable. We booked a tower king room facing the Epcot fireworks and were "upgraded" into something we didn't want - an island 2-queen bed suite facing the pool The reason we were upgraded was because construction at the tower required water to be turned off during part of our stay. The suite was not in good shape and there was a great deal of noise from the pool area. I called the front desk and was offered another room. At this point we were tired and cranky and were willing to keep the room that we had been provided, so we declined. Ten minutes later we received a call from a manager - he insisted that he would put us in a better room the next day. We left our bags packed in the morning and returned late in the day to find that we were in a two level king suite. The front desk and lobby bar personnel provided us with great service and that more than made up for the construction and minor frustrations. Things to watch out for: Shuttle service to the parks is supposed to run every 30 minutes but there is no predicting when they will arrive. Taxis are expensive. Uber is cheaper and provides faster service. When returning from the parks, it's often faster to take a Disney transportation shuttle to Disney Springs and walk from there to the Hilton.
Had a great stay amazing view from the room. Pool was awesome, great for relaxing away from the parks. Only thing that brings it down is the lack of choice at breakfast, not up to normal Hilton standard. Just a short walk to Disney springs.
"We loved the new pool area."
This was our 4th visit and the first since the improvements. Check in was quick and easy by the very helpfull Luciano Gwimaraes and when we went to our room it had been upgraded with new furniture along with some of the origonal fittings. The bath had been removed which was a miss after the long days shopping and sightseeing and replaced with a walk in shower. Downstairs the new bar next to reception on floor 3 looked nice and on floor 1 the restaurant, shop, cafe and disney shop had been tastefully improved. I left the best to last. The pool area looked stunning. It has been landscaped and has palm trees, bushes and is tastefully tiled throughout. There are 2 pools plus the lazy river, and jacuzzi, lots of sun beds and lovely canopies along with 3 gazebos with beds and chairs in and several canopy/beds dotted around the pools and they are busy decorating an outside eating area. This hotel is the real package now.
