"Aging Hotel in Great Disney Location"
The Hilton is in a great location, close to Disney parks and Disney Village. It has a beautiful pool area with a nice poolside restaurant and tiki bar. The gym is conveniently located, good sized and well equipped. The lobby bar is filled with TVs to watch the big games and the bartenders are friendly. You don't get a great pour and single drinks run $9.00-$10.00. However, our 8th floor room showed a lot of wear. One electrical outlet didn't work and the shower head fixture was loose and coming out of the wall. The bed was comfy, but the sheets were frayed. The room was clean, it just looked old. If you get a good deal, this is a good hotel in a great location for Disney parks. However, it's showing some age.
"Pool not what my children would have wanted"
I was here on a business trip and was considering staying here the next time my family went to Orlando on vacation. But I was disappointed to discover you have to be 18 to use the hot tub (which has only one good working jet - the others are very weak) and that the lazy river lives up to its name in the utmost way. There was barely any water movement. I had to paddle the whole way through. I can't imagine how long it must take to get through it. And it's quite shady, which is a plus or minus depending on your preferences. Of course this is a fabulous hotel and I personally enjoyed myself on my business trip. But for a family vacation, I would stick to the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa.
Nice Hotel. The outdoor and restaurant amenities make up for the not so modern guest rooms. They have 2 gorgeous pools, a lazy river, basketball / tennis courts, a waking trail, putting green, three restaurants, etc.
"It's a pretty place"
I did have some issues here. I am a vegan who was here for a conference, so it was impractical to leave for breakfast/lunch and I did have some difficulty being accommodated in the restaurants, though I had made a special request beforehand and had even been sent a vegan menu that I should be able to use on site (I was told that it wasn't valid when I first arrived at one of the restaurants). After a couple of days of difficulties, management did profusely apologize and made sufficient meals available. The property was beautiful, the gym was nice, the pool area was beautiful, and the room was quite nice.
"Priced but fabulous"
Stayed two nights prior to a cruise. Booked it because of the pool for the kids. Pictures don't do it justice. I could stay here forever! Poolside drink service was great! Kids had a blast in the lazy river and pool. Hotel was spotless. Staff efficient in getting us extra roll away bed and pillows. Good location to I-drive amenities.
