Over the past few days, my mom and I have had the opportunity to relax at the Hilton poolside with Keidy as our pool waitress. She was awesome! Her service was timely and on point at all times. Keidy went out of her way to make sure we were take care of for our stay. What Keidy didn't know is that we were here to get away as my dad recently passed away and we needed a little reprieve from Minnesota living. She made us feel comfortable and taken care of--all with a smile. I recommend you finding Keidy as she is an asset to their poolside service! 🙂
"Not up to previous standards"
This used to be the best place to come on vacation great resort great pool great food great service. It's my assumption have a new general manager, service does not react to an issue clearly and fast enough. The food is gone way downhill and limited menus. The breakfast used to be 10+ it's fair, not worth the $35 for you and one child. Hotel restaurant and bar limited menu not as good as it used to be ,The people that work here are still great everything else has slipped though
"Excellent Conference Experience!"
I stayed at the Hilton Orlando for a conference with over 4,000 high school and middle school students in attendance. Even with all of those teenagers tromping about, the hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The pool was busy of course but maintained and comfortable. My room was clean and comfortable as well. Beautiful conference hall!
"Luxurious family resort"
I and my wife stayed in this hotel for three days attending a conference in the nearby Orange County Convention centre. This was one of the hotels recommended by the conference organizer. However, even though it is still within walking distance to the Convention centre, it requires a brisk walk of at least 15 minutes to the West Hall where the conference was held. On the first day when I started walking to the Convention centre in the morning, I was driven back by the bitter cold, which was unusual in Orlando in March. The taxi fare varied between $ 5.00 to $ 10.00. In hindsight, there are hotels closer to the Convention centre than the Hilton. However, the hotel is centrally located in the vicinity of the Seaworld, Disneyworld and other family holiday destinations. Without visiting such destinations I believe these are just a short drive away. The hotel is certainly a resort in itself. As the centrepiece of the family resort, there is a big heated swimming pool with a water slide and basket ball hoops. The pool is quite long as I swam laps of about 40 m amongst frolicking children around me. There is also a good pool side bar serving drinks and food. On the days when I was staying in the hotel, the temperature dropped below 20 degrees Celsius, but the water temperature in the pool was very comfortable at around 30 degrees. I greatly enjoyed using the pool. There are also other resort activities such as a mini golf course, tennis and volley ball etc. I also visited the gym twice. It is very large and well equipped, overlooking the pool. The only downside is that there is a charge of $ 10 for each visit. However, if you enrol as a Hilton Honors member, the fee is waived. As a member, one can also use the Wifi in the hotel room for free, which is a handy saving of $ 15.00 for Wifi use each day. For a family staying for a few days, the savings can add up. There are a number of restaurants in the hotel and there is even a Marketplace serving pastries, drinks and snacks 24 hours daily. I and my wife only visited the hotel bistro once. The portions of the food we ordered were huge (Nachos, soup) and the prices were very reasonable. We found the food quite tasty. However, we did not get to try the other eateries during our stay. The room we had was on the 12th floor, with a panoramic view of the district. The amenities were what can be expected for a Hilton hotel. However, we found it surprising that there was nothing in the fridge and no minibar. As our plane was delayed and we arrived at the hotel after mid night, it was somewhat disappointing to find that there were not even any packaged nuts or snack bars available in our room. All the staffs we met during our stay were friendly and helpful. There was never any issue that was not dealt with properly. Overall, the hotel is a good family resort with facilities to keep the family occupied and happy.
From check in to check out.. it was great. We attended as part of a large conference and the hotel was well prepared for the 4400 plus guests. Check in was fast and the staff was very helpful. The front desk and other hotel staff was also very helpful throughout our stay. Our rooms were clean and house keeping was very friendly and willing to help us as well.
