"One of Best Resort in Phuket"
Hotel is very nice, mega complex, five pools, near beach, service is fantastic, staff always helpful and prompt reply on request, Italian food is good taste, Ms.Jub Mr.Peet, Ms.Lomlah, Mr.Pantoch, Mr.Kriengkrai, Ms.Cee, Ms.Thanya, Ms.Lucky, Ms.Sunisa (All is Super great service)
We stayed here to try Karon Beach. The hotel shows its age despite renovations and the layout and look of the hotel doesn't reflect anything cultural of the location it is at. Service was so-so at reception and buffet breakfast was nothing spectacular. Our room was not yet ready when we arrived at 4pm despite a 3pm check-in policy and we had also checked in online. The frontliners weren't too friendly and didn't seem to be bothered our room wasn't ready yet. Even the Hilton Honors service desk person wasn't very helpful either. They also insisted on bringing up our trolleys even if we had preferred to bring it up ourselves. Our suite was roomy but the airconditioner wasn't working properly and the light bulb at the hallway had to be changed. Since they couldn't fix our aircon at 10pm, they moved us to a Hilton Suite. That suite was much better with an excellent view. We weren't able to try the pools because it opens at 8 and closes by 7pm. Wifi connection is spotty and the passwords given will only work up for up to 4 devices. To get to the beach is easy as you just cross the street in front of the property. However, since it is public, the hotel doesn't have lounge chairs on the beach. When dining, it's better to go out and walk to nearby restos for more options. I expected more from a big international chain. I much preferred the experience at Westin in Siray Bay where service was excellent.
Our stay at the Hilton Arcadia was amazing. We upgraded to a Deluxe Hilton Suite which is huge. Everything you need is included in the suite even two bottles of water per day each. This is very handy as you can't drink tap water here. Coffee and different teas are also available. The air-con is very welcoming when entering the room as the temperature outside is extremely hot! We stayed round the Beach Club pool each day which is easily accessible to the beach. We never struggled for a bed but we are early risers and like to up and out. When staying in a suite you have access to the Panorama lounge which we thought was great for breakfast. Sat outside on the 12th floor you have great views of the grounds and the beach We will definitely return to this hotel Thanks all for making us very welcome
"So many better properties to spend your money at than here"
If you're looking for a simple roof over your head with nice views in Phuket, then this is your place. If you're looking for quality or for some luxury, then please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We arrived via the hotel and walked up to an unoccupied agent at the reception- well he was unoccupied with guests, but when we greeted him and asked to check in, it seemed he was too busy with his cell phone to even look us in the eye and just mumbled a sullen, distracted "yes". Fortunately Daria from the HHonors desk recognized us and swiftly came to welcome us and bring us to the HHonors check in desk. We were greeted with drinks and cold towels, and recognized as HHGold. We booked a Junior Suite Sea View which Daria personally escorted us to (really nice touch). The room had a beautiful view and an oversized king bed. However after we settled in the room, we noticed some flaws. First, if you plan on taking a shower for longer than 2 minutes, good luck as the water starts backing up in the drain so much so that you will be standing in an inch of water easily (not exaggerating). The bathroom had a horrible bleach/chemical smell, and the towels had brown & orange stains on them! But the worst part - we found dried/recent blood on the walls!! Not even joking (I took pictures but I don't want to upload them on here). Next morning we informed the staff of this and told them we'd like to check out early. They promised to fix the issues and offer an upgrade (but not until our last night there due to overbooking), which we decided to think about over breakfast. FYI this hotel is the largest resort in Phuket and is where any group larger than 100 people stay at. AKA it can be easy to forget about standards & customer experience. Breakfast (buffet) was the final straw- not only was the food terrible, but there were flies landing on all of the food items displayed without lids (fruit, baked goods, etc). I took a bread roll and when I got to my seat I noticed that it was covered in small ants. Lovely. I had enough. Informed the duty manager that we were checking out. At this point, we couldn't overlook our first impressions. We checked out and went to a real 5 star resort worthy of our money. It's a real shame since we always like to stay at Hilton properties, but our short stay at the Hilton Phuket reminded us of a sleazy non-brand motel focusing on quantity not quality.
We stayed at the Hilton on a family holiday. We loved the location of the hotel; it was away from the hustle and bustle but still within walking distance to bars, shops, restaurants etc. As always the staff were beautiful and treated us exceptionally well. Overall we had a great experience and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great holiday in Phuket.
