We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Hilton Sa Torre. The staff here helped my fiancé to arrange his engagement proposal and they really went above and beyond. A lady from the events team stayed late to help with the evening itself, the restaurant staff were fantastic and the restaurant food was delicious. Thank you to the chef. Also a special thank you to reception for arranging for champagne in the room, for being very friendly and always remembering my name when I came to see them. The bar staff are also very nice. The staff here really treat you as an individual and are so friendly. The maid was fantastic, she left nice little touches in the room for us. The hotel itself is so beautiful, unlike any other Hilton I have been to. It has a beautiful chapel and windmill on site and 3 swimming pools. It really is worth a visit as it is such a romantic location.
"What a wonderful place"
I travel and use Hilton Hotels in many countries but this place beats them all. Perfect location for a relaxing spa / hotel break. Set in wonderful grounds with fantastic staff, location a little rural but that's the beauty of it. Already planning to return :-)
"A beautiful hotel but with some areas to work on"
We stayed at the Hilton Sa Torre for 17 nights recently and , as on our previous (shorter) visits the experience was overwhelmingly positive. The location of the hotel and its tranquillity is a major attraction and, almost without exception, each member of staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was excellent; it was well maintained and cleaned to a high standard although the quality of the in-room entertainment is poor for a hotel of this quality. The televisions are dated, picture quality is poor, there are no movies or sports channels on offer and there is no alarm facility. We found the breakfast offering excellent and the service superb; we were looked after particularly well by Lucie, Andrea and Bianka. The overall service always seemed that little bit smoother and more efficient when Lucie was on duty! Our experience of the restaurant facilities was a little more patchy. The first "tasting menu" evening that we attended was wonderful with a menu that was varied yet beautifully themed; a week later our experience was disappointing in that the menu lacked the "flow" and the quality of the previous week. On the occasions we took a light meal in the Courtyard the food was fine, although we did not receive the food we actually ordered on our first visit and service seemed just a little slow. Indeed, this was the only area of the hotel where the commitment to customer service appeared less than enthusiastic. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the Hilton Sa Torre and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Maybe, by then, the facilities in the Spa will be fully operational; it really was unacceptable that the Steam Room, the Sensory Showers and a couple of the pumps in the Spa's main pool were out of order, or malfunctioning, throughout the whole of our 17 night stay.
"Vacation from the States"
We have stayed at this hotel for six years and it seemed like home except for this time. The staff seemed to not like their jobs, most of the trained dedicated staff have left. We called a month before arrival to send a box and spoke to the front desk Manager Oscar who told us how to send it but failed to mention the Postal Service does not work well Spain. First we had to send additional documentation then they asked for a local I.D. of someone which we did not have so we asked that it be sent back were told that we would get a new tracking number and it would come back to the states. Still not received now almost two months. There is no follow through on email this would not have been the case a few years ago the front desk always worked diligently to get things done. I understand its not the hotels problem but we should have been told do not send through the post office as they are not efficient. Still waiting all the documentation and phones numbers so I can try and locate this package. We love the general manager but this is not the same staff that would take care of the customers. Very sad!!
"Overpriced tired rooms, poor service"
The initial welcome was ok with a glass of cava but they hadn't prepared the room with the sofa bed we'd ordered and we had tired kids in tow. They never had a table for us on the main dining terrace, morning or evening, so we had to sit in the shaded courtyard where the sevice was intermittant or non existent. The food was overpriced - over 20Euros for 4 scallops and a squirt of potato mash. By the pool you had to walk over to the staff (when they were there) to make an order and they only cleared your empty glasses and plates when the new order arrived and wouldn't fit on your table. There were some pool toys freely available next to the family pool which was nice. We were in room 6004 at the end of the complex and our room was dated and the bathroom mouldy. The suite was in better shape but the terrace had rusty sun loungers and no umbrella. Maybe the rooms are better in the main building but generally the hotel is uninspiring and the staff are not trained well. Their only golden moment was when someone got us a first aid box quickly.
