"Family Reunion in San Francisco"
I planned a family reunion in San Francisco and chased The Hilton San Francisco Financial District as our hotel. This was an excellent choice. The sales teams was very helpful in working with me on our dates and a competitive rate. The concierge desk went above and beyond to assist in the planning of activities and the entire itinerary. We were able to enjoy the city and Bay Area as well as plan a full day of activities in Napa Valley and the wine country. I would recommend this property for anyone looking to visit the Bay Area.
"A little worn out for a world city Hilton hote"
The hotel is positioned in the heart of San Francisco abutting Chinatown. Probably the worst thing about it is the aging infrastructure of the neighborhood which set dirty and smelled funky - although not specifically unsafe. I wouldn't choose to stay in this area again if I had a choice. Worse, the hotel touted it's app based check in where I went to some length to choose a room that addressed all the preferences we had for a special weekend in SF (high room, bay view, away from elevator). However, the guest of the room elected for a late checkout after they confirmed my room. The resulting alternative did not meet any of our preferences and they seemed at loss how to make things right. I would expect more. Also, don't offer that service if you can't deliver on it.
"Location, location, location!"
Outstanding hotel in a great location! We had a great view of the Bay and were able to walk to many locations including Chinatown, North Beach, and the Ferry Building. Hotel staff is great. Just a great experience overall.
"Great location downtown San Fran"
This Hilton is ideally located in the financial district, walking distance from everywhere, on the edge of China town, a few blocks from the pier, very close to Columbus Ave with its many trendy restaurants, the arts and antique dealers and close to Little Italy. Access is also easy by car and it was a 15 min walk only from Yerba Buena Park, the Modern Arts museum, shopping malls and more upscale restaurants. Staff of the executive lounge was exceptionally friendly and needed only one breakfast session to remember all our preferences. The fitness is very good and has a great view over the financial district. Only minus point, why I am not giving a 5 is that the rooms need a fit of refurbishment and a lick of bright paint. Otherwise a very effective hotel and we felt right at home.
"Great Choice for a Hotel"
This is my second stay at this hotel. I like the rooms quite a bit...they are roomy with updated decor. The hotel staff is very friendly across the board. Their breakfast at 750 is very very good with great choices. The only drawback is it is on the border of Chinatown and the area around this hotel doesn't seem to be well kept. It's fine during the day to walk to Union Square, Embarcadero, etc. as I walked down to Moscone every morning during my stay but took cab back at night.
