"Catalonia Hotel is Great!"
We had a group of 28 people staying at Catalonia hotel on February 9th-12th. When the large group arrived the front desk staff had everyone a room in a few minutes. The breakfast buffet was tremendous. We enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Santo Domingo and we return again.

Stayed at this hotel a couple of nights and really enjoyed our stay. I will be back in March 2017 and will return here. I recommend this hotel as the accommodations are well done. The dinner at this place was just incredible. If you stay and don't eat dinner here you are missing the best part of staying here. The food is to die for.
Very nice room, great service, great food, nice pool. Excellent overall! The restaurante had excellent food for breakfast and dinner..top notch! The pool was beautiful and clean. They upgraded my room to an executive and it was spacious and very nice! The service here is OUTSTANDING!! ...only a few minutes from the colonial zone. EXCELLENT!
Nice view. Full variety breakfast. The building structures is very nice. The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area personnel must improve their attitude, sometimes they look like angry. The parking is a little uncomfortable and not good signed. Also they wanted to put and additional US $38 charge for my sister that was going to visit me at my room for a moment. Generally is a magnificent place.
"Exactly as pictured"
I am not sure where some of these reviewers stayed, but it wasn't Catalonia. The hotel and pool are exactly as pictured. The included breakfast buffet is vast, with omelettes cooked to order, many varieties of breakfast meats, cereal, fruits, yogurt, pastries, breads, and local foods. The beds are very comfortable, and the ocean view is gorgeous. 90% of the staff speak at least some English, and I was made to feel very welcome. I only had 3 issues. One, that the housekeeper was hit or miss with the coffee. Some days I had coffee, but no cups, cups but no coffee, etc. Two, I was not able to change the input on the TV to HDMI, and when I asked the front desk to send someone from IT, no one ever showed up. Third, I found dinner at the restaurant to be really bad. I didn't even eat the steak I ordered. I went to the coffee shop and got a sandwich. The room service was much better.
