"Good hotel if you are in São Paulo for business "
I picked this hotel just because it is Hilton, the only one in this enormous mega metropolis. I loved it and I hated it. I loved the view from my room 2605, especially at night, overlooking the bridge. I loved the breakfast at the ground floor restaurant, because of the juice machine where you could press your own juice from carrots, oranges and any other imaginable local fruit. Fresh, you know exactly what you are drinking and gives you energy and vitamins for the whole day. Also all the staff at breakfast were extremely welcoming, smily and service oriented. These were definitely some of the highlights of this stay. The pool on the top floor was very pleasant too, even though it would have been much much nicer if it was in the open air, rather than being in a glass-house. Water was also a bit muddy, not the sparkling blue you would typically expect. Jacuzzi next to the pool was very nice and relaxing. Now what did I hate'! A connecting room. Please be aware that if you get allocated a connecting room and you are unlucky to have somebody there, you can forget your sleep and will be forced to share with your neighbor whatever lifestyle they lead. In my case it was a neighbor who loved watching television. So by the end of my stay I was unwillingly and fully up to date on all the news in France. The gap under the connecting door is like 1.5 centimeters with no isolation whatsoever. I guess my neighbor could also hear me walking around the room or talking on the phone. Not the nicest of experiences, unless you have some desire to share your secrets with the outside world. I also hated noise. Constant noise: my room 2605 was by elevators and next to the executive lounge. You will not believe all the noise this generates, combined with vacuum cleaner banging on the door in the morning. Horrible. Another page has to be written on the check in and check out and how long it takes... and I am culturally aware that the perception of time is different depending on the local specifics. But this was exceptionally long even by South American standards. As we
"My first choice in Sao Paulo"
i've stayed here many times. Great service, nice gym on the top floor, great area behind the hotel for a morning run, nice selection of restaurants in the nearby mall. The breakfast buffet is pleasant. The bar offers a nice selection of local beers.
Small rooms - no space for lugage, medicore breakfast. No free chairs at pool (pre-reserved). Paid no attention of my HHonors Gold Status. Got smallest room avaiable, and close to Elevators. There are better Hotels around! Trust me.
"The Hilton Morumbi is a lovely hotel in a very nice section of São Paulo."
I have stayed at the Hilton many times over the last 12 years that I've traveled here for business. It is always my first choice because the rooms are consistently clean and very comfortable; the hotel staff is professional and very courteous. The Hhonors lounge is large and the staff there is very pleasant and accommodating. The food is good in both the restaurant and the lounge. Also, the fact that there is an underground shopping mall a short walk away with a food court, restaurants and other shopping makes it even more convenient. I recommend this Hilton highly!
"Nice Hotel in the middle of everything"
Spent four nights here and found the rooms were very nice (mine did not have 110 voltage though; only 220 in rooms). Bar/restaurant was good and friendly. Seems like the rooms have been updated, but very stylish. Try to get Executive floor access, it is well worth the extra money. I ate breakfast each morning and the cocktails at night were nice. Overall, very good business hotel. I recommend it.
