"Amazing views with nothing to do..."
I have been thinking about how I wanted to write this review so I will try and break this down the best way possible. The hotel is quite expensive so it's important to explain the hotel out in detail in order for readers to make a wise decision if they feel it's the right fit. I will start with the pros: The pool villa suite is an absolute must! You have to book this room. The standard rooms just don't cut it. The view from the villa towards the ocean is incredible. We spent 70% of our time in the pool and viewing the beautiful ocean. The room is quite large with plenty of space. The sunsets are incredible! I am so glad we upgraded. The fitness center was clean and the view was awesome. We enjoyed the beach and the canoe and loved snorkeling. The water was warm and beach area was the perfect size. The staff was polite and pleasant for the most part. My concern was that they forgot to pick us up at the airport after I confirmed the week prior. I completely understand that things happen and took the 35 minute taxi ride. The problem was that I never received an apology. Management wanted me to prove to them with the email confirmation that I did in fact setup transportation (which I was able to provide). Not until that night did I get a call in the room from the manager who offered to reduce the rate in half for departure. Reduce the rate in half'' I was thinking it should be waived considering I was walking around the airport for 20 minutes looking for the hotel staff member before getting into a cab. The food is okay. Not bad but nothing spectacular. We found a hair in the fries one day and told the staff. I Wasn't looking for anything but maybe an apology would have been nice' Dinner is expensive!! Get ready to bring your dollars and euros folks because it will cost you. I guess this is the price you pay traveling to an island but $75 for two sandwiches, a salad and three sodas'' Heres a tip: purchase your alcohol at the airport upon your arrival. It's very cheap. Also, there is a small marketplace just outside of the hotel to the left of the gate (maybe a 5 minute walk up the hill).. It's very safe and the shop had snacks and juice... etc which was very cheap. We had to go exploring when we found out they wanted to charge us $24 for a jug of pineapple juice. That's right, 24 dollars....... There is definitely a roach problem in the main part of the hotel. We saw them when walking to breakfast and in the dining room at dinner. Dead roaches at our feet at the bar and crawling on the curtains while eating dinner. It was a little unsettling. Although we never saw them in the guest room thankfully. There is literally NOTHING to do on this property. There is a live band 2 nights a week for 3 hours. Other than that you are on your own. We ended up going to bed at 9pm two of the four nights. We visited the game room and found a few games, books and chess boards... The hotel seemed deserted. We asked a staff member and he said they were fully booked. Seemed strange... The hotel was beautiful and had so much potential but the staff was very inconsistent. I would probably have scored a 2 out of 5 if it wasn't for the room. The room was truly amazing so if you are looking for a 3 or 4 night stay in complete relaxation in your villa with minimal interaction with others or other activities then I would recommend this hotel. If you are looking for activities and or live entertainment this is not the hotel for you. Do not stay here for more than 4 nights... Would I go back' No... because I feel that other hotels in Seychelles that I researched could have offered more than Hilton Seychelles. I felt like they did not value my business.
"Great Hotel with superb views"
Stayed in the hotel for 5 nights.Had a villa on the hill which was spacious and with superb views.Had a great balcony with great sitting place.Sat there for hours everyday for hours.Have some great Chefs Earl,Kevin and Rajan who always were ready to cook special Vegetarian foods for us.They were not even helpful but superb food was given.Even at breakfast Rajan prepared some special dishes for us.Have a nice small pool and a very cute beach on the ocean.

"A perfect couple retreat"
Ideal for anyone looking for a special place to relax and unwind. We stayed for ten nights, explored the area and still found we spent most of our time relaxing at the hotel. The views over the Indian Ocean are amazing, which you can do from your villa or the private beach.
