We stayed for three nights in room 1012 (I think)as part of a 6 week tour of Europe and this has been one of our favourite hotels. The room itself was good, clean, well appointed the bathroom was quite small. The staff at breakfast in the downstairs restaurant were fantastic and the breakfast itself was very good. We had room service two nights in a row because the Swedish meatballs were so good. The executive lounge was small and busy but well stocked and well managed and a good atmosphere.
Stayed here for one night for business which is definitely long enough. The hotel is fine. Good location. Though between the railway line and some main roads so noise could be an issue in certain rooms. It is good central location. Easy walk to the old and new town and 20mins walk to Central Station. Staff are friendly. This was a company booking and was explained to me as I didn't book through Hilton I would not earn any points, which didn't worry me. It was more the size of my room. I had a queen room. It was literally the dictionary definition of a cupboard. By my maths it was 10ft deep and I reckon under 20ft including the bed which wasn't a full size double width wise and the bathroom. It was clean. Looked well used though. Very dated and old school bathroom. Shower/bath combination with limited pressure. The bed was comfy. Why punished. Well I got the distinct impression as I wasn't a bona fide Honours member I was banished to the poor wing. Literally told to follow the black dots on the floor to the one lift that served a whole separate wing of the building. For one night. When you are eaten out and literally just need a bed and somewhere to dump your stuff. This is fine. If you are travelling for a break with another person definitely don't book a queen room and maybe try and find a deal through the honours website to try and make it feel a. It special.
"Great location but weird bathroom and average room"
The hotel is ideally located and offers a wonderful choice of restaurants, bars and places to shop up the street from where it is. The harbor view is absolutely stunning and taxi can easily come and pick you up. Just the bathroom was quite dark, (too) heavy in marble with no shower so once has to climb in the bathtub. Strange. The room itself was standard and very clean. Excellent room service, good quality sandwich available even in the middle of the night and Swedish beers are available.
This is a solid Hilton with all the amenities you'd expect and in a central location a bit away from the central station area but still with excellent communications and lots to see within walking distance. I've stayed in the regular rooms before but this time we stayed for one night in a corner room w king bed (my booking was for a standard executive, but we were graciously upgraded to a corner room). This gave us wonderful views over the waters of both Saltsjön and Riddarfjärden, as well as the Town Hall, the Old Town, and numerous church towers. Unfortunately we had business to attend, but if not these views would have occupied us for hours and hours. Staff was very friendly in the few interactions we had. I'm happy to recommend this hotel.
"Good location, stylish but small room"
Stayed in an Executive room. Stylish enough big small. Great view over old town. Walk across river to access old town and close to ferry to museum island with Vasa etc. lots of restaurants and shops in Slussen area, but high end designer shopping is on other side of old town. Gym was a fully serviced gym with classes included. No spa but sauna in changeroom. Executive lounge was simple but included all usual free drinks and snacks. Breakfast was reasonable.
