""great location,lovely hotel""
We arrived early hours 7.1.17 due to flight cancellation, staff quickly checked us in and gave us our room keys. We were on 44th floor in deluxe king with amazing views over Hudson river and empire state building. The room was large, very clean and comfortable with fridge, coffee maker and 46" television. Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and fresh towels everyday. We cannot fault location, everything on the doorstep, times square, restaurants, bars etc. The cost of drinks in the hotel was a bit steep. several metro stations close by and also circle line tours about 10 min walk. Although the weather was very cold and snowy we had a nice walk in central park and saw lots of different birds and other creatures. The Christmas tree and rockefella center looked wonderful against the background of snow. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and Oscar for the upgrade to room 4404.
Stayed here for 4 nights in 2015 as a surprise 60th birthday treat for my partners mum. This hotel is in a fantastic location to visit NYC. I had emailed Sarah Krieger before we flew out and ask if there was anything they could do as it was a surprise birthday treat. When we arrived we checked in and was greeted at the front desk by the most charming and helpful staff you could wish to meet. We where taken to our room to find a bottle of champaign and chocolates it was night time and the curtains where drawn but when we opened them we where greeted with the most amazing view. This was my first time to NYC and I will never forget that moment when I opened the curtains to be greeted by such an amazing view, we all really had to pinch each other to make sure it was real. So a big massive thank you to all the staff at the Hilton time Square for making our stay so pleasant and enjoyable and and special thank you to Sarah from all of us... Tyrone, Cheryl and Ann.
We are Hilton Diamond members and this was our first stay at this property. Unfortunately it will be our last. We pulled up to the 41st St entrance for valet service. The Bell service was friendly, helpful, and very fast. The first downside to this hotel is you have to take an elevator to the 15th floor for the lobby. We checked in and weren't welcomed as Diamond members until after we asked about upgrades. We were told we could upgrade to a Deluxe room - we were booked into a Corner Room which is a higher cost then a Deluxe but decided to ignore this fact since the room was ready at 10:30 a.m. We were also told this property only has 2 suites and no diamond lounge. We then took an elevator to the 41st floor. Not a big deal but it is a bit annoying ot have to wait for 2 different elevators when entering or exiting the hotel. First impressions were okay but it was strange that there were 2 tables with room service plates in the hallway. Our room 4117 was clean, had a king bed, and offered a view of Times Square. The room does need some updating though. There was chipped paint, rusty shower drain, etc. We frequented the hotel bar a few times over the weekend. The bar service was polite and offered food and good drinks. Now to the completely unacceptable portion to my review. Those 2 tables with room service plates remained in the same place from Friday at 10:30 am until we checked out on Sunday at 11 a.m. When we complained about this we were told that it's basically an ongoing fight with Hilton Corporate. Hilton wanted to do away with room service all together and then at the last minute changed it to Sunday - Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11 pm. There is no room service staff there on the weekends hence the disgusting leftovers and plates in our hallway all weekend. The problem I have with this statement is that this shows the Hilton Times Square staff isn't a team and won't go the extra step for the comfort of their guests. When we received our car from the valet I got the pleasure of opening my passenger side door to a cake wrapper, crumbs, and powdered sugar all over my car. I asked for a manager to come over. The gentleman I spoke with was from the valet service. He was rude, and removed all blame from himself or his drivers. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and can't eat snacks like that so it sure wasn't me! When I stated that I will have Hilton get involved he walked away. Luckily a Hilton manager happened to be out front of the hotel. Oscar was polite, apologetic, and offered to take one night of valet off of our bill. Sadly between the lack of room service, the disgusting policy of leaving plates near rooms all weekend, and the irresponsible 3rd party valet company we will not return to this location nor do we recommend it to others.
"Best place to stay in New York City"
Me and my daughter stayed here from 7th January- 10th January. Our first trip to New York hadn't started well as we didn't get our luggage when we arrived at JFK. Upon arrival to hotel the receptionist ( I think his name was Damon) could see i was a little upset and made me feel so welcome. As i was telling him what had happened he said let me see what i can do for you. He put us in an amazing room overlooking Time Square (3705). On arrival to the room me and my daughter was astonished with the view! It was amazing! We had 2 double beds and a beautiful bathroom. Early the next day with still no suitcase we were given complimentary toiletries which was lovely as all we had was the clothes we travelled in,our passports and purse. We never tried the breakfast but i ordered room service on our last night. I had Steak and chips with a chocolate cake. It was perfection and lovely to eat at our window with the beautiful view. There was a lovely little coffee machine with pods which was such a nice touch. Location is ideal for any New York visitor as you are situated in the heart of New York. We walked everywhere and loved it as the vibrancy from the city is breathtaking. When we checked out we put our luggage downstairs with security as we had a night flight. They looked after our bags and really looked after us and wished us well when we left. I will 100% be coming back to this hotel when i am next back in New York. I would like to thank all the staff for such a memorable stay. I will be back soon.
"Great time in Times Square"
We chose HTS because it was centrally located. Had a wonderful time. George at the front desk got us a spectacular room, staff was super friendly. Great amenities and view. Cost well on line with expectations, well placed for family entertainment and dining. Would love to visit again!
