"Impressive layout "
Great lobby and very well appointed rooms beyond Hiltons business character. English spoken personnel struggles so be patient and think before you place a request. The Executive Lounge fall short of service and limited variety. Once a bottle of wine was gone, they denied to have another. Plates were never picked up and so on. Also impressive are the surroundings around the hotel, a huge contrast between modern China and the previous one..
"Wonderful hotel, particularly the service"
This hotel is really top class. The room is spacious and the bed was enormous, but also comfortable. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The stand out for me was the service in the restaurant. The restaurant staff are very attentive, and after a couple of days, they even remember what sort of coffee you like and keep delivering more during your breakfast. The selection of food for all meals is very wide and will suit all tastes. We also checked out the steam room- very relaxing! I was there for a 3-day meeting in the meeting rooms. The room was excellent, and the morning and afternoon teas very good. A great stay- thanks to all the staff.
This hotel was fabulous in every respect. The food, service, location and our room were all superb. We highly recommend this hotel to any prospective visitor to Xi'an. The concierge Supervisor, Jones, was a standout with very helpful suggestions on what to do in the area and very accommodating making arrangements for us. Another worthy mention providing exceptional service was the restaurant manager or supervisor Jeremy (I hope I got his name right). He ensured we got great service and made excellent recommendations on food and local dishes.
Check in was simple with the group and lovely to be greeted with juice and lemon tea. Rooms were nice with a see through partition from bathroom to bedroom...don't understand the concept but it did give the room a bigger feel. The hotel food was terrific for dinner and breakfast. Great favors and good selection. Cooked lamb chops perfectly, which were especially delicious. The coffee (espresso) was Lavatzza and quite good. Pool facilities were only ok...good pool and whirlpool but locker rooms were a bit disappointing. Steam sauna wasn't on, so I turned it on but there was an unhealthy smell so didn't end up going in. The dry sauna was better but small. Showers didn't drain well so you were left in a puddle of water afterwards and swimsuit dryer didn't work. Would also have liked to have more lotion available for use and more towels. Overall service wonderful and employees seemed to understand more English and/ or were willing to find someone else that spoke English to help whenever needed.
"Never Had Better Service"
I have had he good fortune to stay at many very nice, in fact, great hotels throughout the world, but I have never had better service. The staff was absolutely amazing. We had lounge access as diamond members. When the staff found out my wife had ciliac disease, they made special dishes for her. In fact, one night they brought her a steak dinner. They even brought steaks for me and a friend traveling with us. When we decided to visit the museum, we went to buy tickets but the line was impossible. It was filled with people waiting for the daily allotment of free tickets. No one could help us find out when or where we could buy tickets. When we went back to the hotel, they asked how our museum visit was. We explained the problem. They provided a solution. The next morning they sent a staff member over to buy tickets for us. They asked only that we pay his cab fare. It was amazingly nice of them. These are just two examples of the repeated great service. As for the hotel itself, it was very nice. The room was well appointed with a strong Chinese influence, a pleasant change from the usual standard fare. The food at the buffet breakfast and in the Chinese restaurant were very good. On top of everything else, the hotel was a great value. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. It is excellently managed and staffed. I am just sorry I am unlike to get back to Xi'an anytime soon.
