Excellent value for money - rooms clean and modern, not luxurious but very comfortable.Comment of M. Gillian , United Kingdom the 2014-05-12
Excellent value for the London area even if it is a bit far out. This is a new and very good Holiday Inn Express hotel. The hotel is fairly new, and is therefore in very good condition. Ambiance, decor and furnishing in the rooms and public areas are pleasant and modern. Rooms are very spacious and nicely furnished with large double beds (: good linen, soft and hard pillows :), seating area, a nice spacious work desk, LCD TV, good lighting, coffee making facilities and nice carpeting. The bathrooms are very nice. My absolute favorite is the shower which looks good with the black tiles and white grooves and has amongst the best water flow/pressure and temperature stability / control. Great stuff! Elevators are spacious and in good shape. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast for all guests and this also more than adequate with beans, scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit, yoghurt, pain-au-chocolat, croissants, a selection of cereals, bread-butter-jam, coffee, milk etc. Good enough for me! The staff are very pleasant and helpful + house keeping is reliable and efficient. The hotel also has a drinks & coffee bar, a kitchen which serves lunch and dinner up to 2230 HRS, and an separate onsite Italian restaurant called Tratts. I haven't tried the kitchen or Tratts so far but I see a lot of guests do and seem to be enjoying it. This is a very good hotel and excellent value for money in the London area. Highly Recommended.Comment of P. Harsha , Switzerland the 2014-05-10

"Great location for Legoland and lots cheaper!"
My husband and I along with our friends stayed here for two nights in August whilst visiting Legoland Windsor. We had a 5 and 6 year old in our party. It's a lot..lot.. cheaper than staying in the Legoland hotels if you are not bothered about having that experience and it's only a short drive away. Hotel was very busy but lovely and clean. Room was a good size for what we needed. There is on site car parking which is usually charged at £10 per night but as we booked via Legoland car parking was free. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals...pastries and cooked items. Would avoid peak times as it gets very busy and some people were struggling to get seated. Peak seemed to be around 8 30am to 9 30am but this may vary. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening so cannot comment but the menu was a selection of different items you can serve yourself from. Good price per head and kids could for free with paying adults. There is an Italian restaurant on the site...it was okay...we had tired children with us so fast service was welcomed...however if you are a couple looking for a romantic meal of a very high standard it's probably not the place. But it was clean..nice atmosphere..the staff were friendly and the food was fine. Would stay here again in the future. If visiting central London you can get the Hoppa bus from outside the hotel to Heathrow Airport then a tube direct into Central London.
"You Get What You Pay For"
Once I got over the fact that this hotel had no plush linens or room service, I started to appreciate just how well they did the basics: room was clean, bathroom was modern and hygienic, service was prompt and we had money left in our pocket to enjoy the first part of our amazing English holiday! The location was close enough to the airport (essential after the long flight from Australia) and allowed us to visit Windsor Castle (not to be missed!) and Legoland before heading into London Town for a few nights. We had a quad room with two kids sharing the sofa bed. With luggage it was a bit of a squash, but we all all slept very well so no complaints. I had low expectations of the complimentary breakfast but these were actually exceeded.... and did I mention it was free' The biggest negative: dinner options. We arrived quite late in the first night and tried to eat at the buffet but it looked so unappetising we couldn't bring ourselves to do it. We ended up at their on-site Italian restaurant which was passable. There doesn't seem much nearby but if I had my time again, I would've just got a sandwich from the BP (M&S Simply Food) over the road which had a nice selection including some nice salads and fruit. I would have appreciated a bar fridge and a fluffier quilt, but essentially this place delivers exactly what it promises: clean, budget accommodation with no frills. If I had my time again I'd come back here for sure.
Stayed overnight between flights at Heathrow. Took the H55 bus from outside airport for £18 return which was v simple and MUCH cheaper than the £50 for one way we were quoted by taxi driver. Buses start just after 4am and stopped right outside. Hotel itself lovely large room checkin and out quick. Didn't eat here based on reviews and surrounding area maybe not the best to do so unless you are happy to travel a little bit. Would use again but only due to handy buses as other hotels closer.
"Usual good standard holiday inn express"
Nice clean and comfortable bed Stayed here for one night , breakfast usual standard in holiday inn express hotel, would have to say the sausages are the cheapest of cheap not that good, and tables could be cleaned a little quicker , there were loads of free tables but were taken up with dirty plates etc. The rooms of good standard but I found them very stuffy as no opening windows at all would have been nicer to have some fresh air, however we still enjoyed our stay all said and done . Staff pleasant .
"Hotel and parking"
Good sized rooms, clean and modern and underground parking, reception staff friendly and efficient, nice bar area, but closed at 11 which we thought was a little too early, price included transfer to airport, excellent value.
