"NOT a kid-friendly hotel"
NOT a kid-friendly hotel. The staff is so RUDE!!! A Chinese lady without the uniform who was called VP pointed our baby milk bottle on the table and told the staff "don't let me see these stuff on the table" and asked us which room we stay in the hotel when we were waiting in the lobby to plan to eat dinner with friends. Excuse me, I don't feel comfortable to answer your question and how you can that disrespect to a 5 months old baby. No wonder there is no any guest in the hotel even it's Saturday. I won't go eat or stay this hotel anymore and won't recommend any family who has kids to go.
"Location! Location! Location!"
PROS: The great thing about this hotel is the location, near to many tourist landmarks and across from the subway to go to the further ones. Beautiful lobby, Chinese themed. Nice views from the room. CONS: The restaurant was over priced, rooms were clean but very basic, there were no mini fridge, tiny closet..
Would recommend this hotel. Within easy walking distance from just about everything you'd want to do. The staff is very friendly. Family of 4 easily fits into the room without being on top of each other.
"Right across the street from the conference center, flawless experience"
I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn and it has been very convenient right across the street from the Conference center. You need to take an elevator (or stairs) to get to the lobby which is a bit odd, however the staff has been very professional, efficient, the decor of the lobby inviting. The rooms are spacious, clean, decent amenities. The wifi worked decently, however at times the speed would drop below usability. I parked the car in the underground garage and found the parking spots to be reasonably spacious (I parked a full size, 3-row SUV without a problem) and clearly marked. Getting back and forth between the hotel and the garage can be a bit confusing and without meaning to offend anyone this may be a Canadian thing as I found it equally slightly confusing at a hotel in Toronto. All in all I am pretty happy with my stay, great location, great service, great value.
"Perfectly situated and a nice hotel"
As you can see from the pictures I've included, it's a nice hotel. Well insulated, so despite being at full capacity due to various conferences in town that week, I couldn't hear anything in the hallway nor the adjoining rooms. The only thing I would suggest is that the hotel lowers the temperature in the hallway, it was blistering hot for no reason. Waste of heating, if you ask me. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the border of Chinatown, and is right across from the Palais Des Congres... perfect area. Underground parking is about $28 a day, and you can come and go as you please with no additional cost. We had to order in one evening, as the kitchen for room service closes at 10pm. There is a Keurig coffee machine in the room, and I found the tiny Bath and Bodyworks samples to be an excellent little touch. If I ever find myself back in Montreal for business, I'll surely book at this hotel.
