"Nice but expensive "
I had a good experience at this hotel, good location but yet not in down town, a good 20 minutes walk to Marientplatz. I know is Munich but come On! a Holiday Inn over 200 box! At the end of the day is a Holiday Inn that we know, clean, efficient, good beds, that's it! I liked it but think that is way overpriced. That should be 120 tops!
"2 nights at the Holiday Inn City Center"
Good location just above the metro station 2 stations from main city attractions Room are good for European standards Breakfast is very good Staff very helpful Lobby bar/Restorant is nice and night menu is satisfy
"Good location but too big hotel with too small common areas"
Stay here for a business trip for several nights. It has several conference rooms and because of this the hotel is always, but always crowded. It needed more common areas to spread people more. They should separate better the normal guests from those coming for conferences, it's way too much confusion. The hotel is a typical 4* with good sized bedrooms comfortable bed, good bathroom. The pros: Good location, direct access to subway, you don't even need to go outside, you can also walk to city center (15-20m to Marienplatz). Good breakfast, wide selection for all tastes. Nice rooms, modern and with all amenities. Staff helpful both at reception as in daily cleaning It has it's own small Starbucks (for those who appreciate). Supermarket downstairs in the small mall, very good one (HIT). The cons: Common areas always crowded, in the evening to try and get a table to eat/drink something can be...challenging! Big, big queues for breakfast. They should warn customers that some conference is going on or something. Several times I gave up eating breakfast that i payed for because of the queues. That or eat breakfast at 06am. Again they should have more area for this. Internet connection. For normal use it's fine. But for professional use, like me, impossible to work, very, very frustrating. They don't even offer a premium internet connection that i would not mind paying. It's just the same for everybody. Because its big, there is always someone passing on the corridor, and you listen to everything, woke up sometimes because other guests decided to have a nice chat on the corridor. Maybe just an upgrade on insonorization of the bedrooms. All in all you need to consider if the pros surpass the cons. It's a good hotel, but too big for it's own good.
"2 nights stay"
It was pleasure to stay at the Holiday Inn City Center I was upgraded to the 11th floor ( executive Room ) - not really big room but ok Breakfast was good, lobby bar is always busy, food menu is good Location is great - just on top on the Metro station Staff very supportive
"Good location, but that's it"
This is a good place for staying near the city centre, but if you are looking for a good hotel, I suggest looking elsewhere. It got better compared to last year, but it's still not good enough for the price (my company does the reservations - I would have avoided it otherwise). * the view from the rooms is quite terrible * the wifi makes you want to scream. How hard is it to provide a wifi with less than a 50% packet loss' * housekeeping knocks on everyone's door at 8:00 or such, so you have to put on the "do not disturb" sign every night, or be up for an unpleasant and unwanted wake-up call
