I stayed only once in Holiday Inn, but the experience will always remain. The rooms are big and spacious, clean and tidy. Fully equipped bathroom with an amazing bathtub. It has a spa - indoors pool, spa and hot tubs. It's located next to the Business Park, which is great, because there are a lot of cafes, restaurants and space to take a walk or just relax.
"Close to business center"
I have had chosen Holiday Inn as the fact that I am not really winter person and it was close to the office, in fact it's located directly at Business park and took me only 5 min to walk to the office. To describe the Hotel, I'd be using only superlatives. The room is spacious and cosy, well decorated. The dark color of furniture gives kind of luxury feeling and really love light in the wardrobe. Bathroom looks new and bathtub and shower are available separately as you would be expecting from 5 starts hotel. Stuffs were extremely friendly and after few days, they remember you (especially your preferences for breakfast). That is appreciated, because the service they provide is not standardised, but personalised. Although there would be few things, which I'd like to highlight. The TV is quite small and it has still the old resolution 4:3, and placed on the table, but it's flat. I would expect it from 3 starts hotel, for 5 starts I would expect flat screen place on the wall 16:9 and at lest 26-28 inches. Even thought the hotel is located not directly in the city center, but there are cheap way to get to the Downtown, taxi (10-15leva) or metro (1.6leva). If I come back to Sofia in the future, I would stay in The Hotel again.
"nice hotel but the location..."
This hotel is just really nice, close to the Business Park (really a walking distance). It is out of town and almost nothing is nearby, except an IMAX and some fast food restaurants. To be honest, I was lazy to walk more, because working a lot here. What I definitely recommend is to visit the pool :)
"Another Great Stay"
I stayed here last week again for the second time in recent months and again it was an enjoyable stay. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The facilities are excellent with great health and fitness options in the gym and pool areas. The rooms are clean, very spacious and the beds are a good size.Look forward to my next visit here. I stayed one night in the Holiday Inn Sofia and I was very happy with my time there. The staff were very nice and helpful. The reception/bar area is very bright and nice to sit in while enjoying a drink. My room was on the fifth floor and was well appointed and neat and tidy. I had dinner from the set menu which was three courses. The Salmon and green salad was very good; although the chicken main was rather bland. I had a glass of Bulgarian Rouen red wine, which was very nice. The breakfast selection was excellent. Parking is free for hotel guests, the hotel is on the outskirts of Sofia and about 20 mins from the airport subject to traffic. There is a hotel airport shuttle on the hour which I used. The hotel is located on a business site although there are a few cafes and bars and a supermarket within walking distance there is no real shopping close by. I used the pool and sauna which are free to guests and I also had a one hour relaxing massage which cost 90Lev (£40) and was well worth it. I would/will use this hotel again.
