"Good hotel at best location"
We have stayed at the hotel for business trip. The hotel is perfect and worth for money. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious, location is perfect, swimming pool is good. Will come back again for sure. Thanks for the perfect service to bring us a dream holiday while on business trip. It is near to Tiantan which is a perfect for spend some time in Beijing.
"...will be surely back again"
Just returned from a 5 day visit to Beijing and fortunate enough to choose the Holiday Inn. It's a very nice hotel with well trained staffs, expecially front desk, very professional and friendly~ Booked a standard room, and it was everything I would have wanted, without being over the top. Excellent bath facilities, well laid out floor plan offering a good view of the city skyline, and excellent service provided by all we encountered. I think i will surely back again for next beijing trip.
staffs are very friendly and would like to support the guest whatever the guest want to know and ask for . if I return back to beijing ,I would most certainly choose this hotel again.great hotel great staff
"Experiences may vary"
The number one thing to remember is that you are in China! This means that YES, people will smoke even in non-smoking hotels, especially in the hallways late at night. It also means that your hotel may be a nice building in what you may think is a run down part of town. Now, all that being said, if you embrace China for what it is this hotel has some real great points. First, you are not in a major tourist area, you can walk outside the hotel and get some great street food. In the evenings you can eat at some of the small tables set up on the sidewalks and enjoy a beer with the average Chinese person. Remember, you came to China to see... well, China, right'! Add to this that you are just a few blocks from the subway and the Hotel has a great staff that does a good job of taking care of guests. Also, as of this writing if you are cashing in IHG points this property is a great value at only 10k points per night. So, let's recap, if you want to see the China that exists in movies go stay at a high end foreigner hotel surrounded by other foreigners and foreign businesses. If you want a decent room, warm staff, and lively surroundings filled with everyday Chinese people and great street food then book a room at the Holiday Inn Temple of Heaven.
"Poor Holiday Inn quality in Beijing"
I am a member of IHG club and have stayed in different hotels properties including Holiday Inn. I have to say this Holiday Inn is the worst I have ever experienced. Firstly the hotel smells like cigarettes from the lobby to my non-smoking room. The facilities like pool, gym, furniture and bar are not every well maintained and quite dated. It smells weird in the room and the towels (for all the time I stayed there) smell funky. I thought it would smell better after I changed the towels but it did not. So I guess it must be the way the hotel does laundry that makes the towel smell bad. It was the first time in my life I avoided using the towel to wipe my face altogether. The location is not bad not very far from the subway but it's not really close to anything interesting. The staffs though were quite helpful, their English limitation was quite frustrated. Also the WIFI was so slow and we almost did not get any signal in our room. I would not stay in this hotel again.
