An amazing stay that was worth waiting more than 40 years for! We stayed 3 nights with our teenage daughters who were captivated by the beauty and magic of everything Disney. The Kingdom Club is well worth the extra for the access to the lounge and being able to meet the characters - even 15 year olds love Disney characters! The grounds were immaculate, room spacious and inviting, and all staff were friendly and accommodating. We booked a 2 day park pass and on our last day at the hotel we made use of the gym, sauna and spa, all of which were superb. Make sure you look for the chandeliers with Cinderella's slippers and the train is so worth catching just for the magical quality it brings.
Everything was great and beautiful. It was really pleasant to walk in the hotel as well as its surroundings. The hotel and the park was a birthday gift from my boyfriend and I am an adult! I enjoyed everything, from food at Waltz and Enchanted Garden to all the small details spotted in the hotel's grounds and room and the greatest thing about being there is that you forget your actual age and take a trip back to your childhood!
one word to describe is Magical. it is indeed a 6 star hotel where your childhood dreams come true. excellent service, very friendly customer service. super expensive but cant wait to go back. free trips to the park and the other hotel. explore the whole place lots of picture spots. visit during christmas and it is doubly magical
"Disneyland -- To Get Away From it All!"
One of the most endearing things about Disneyland, and the Disney hotels, is the focus on family and children. There is cuteness and charm and magic in all of this....but sometimes, you just need to get away from it all and have a grown-up time. We found that the Disneyland Hotel did this for us, in exactly the right way. My wife and I are runners and had succeeded in gaining admission to the Disneyland UNICEF Half Marathon, which had an unforgiving start time of 6:10am. To treat ourselves a little better, and to avoid all of the logistical hassles of arriving in Disneyland at well before 6:00am, we booked a room at the Disneyland Hotel. Wow, what a great way to prepare for a long run! We requested only a standard room -- while deluxe rooms and suites are available, these typically cater to families, accommodations suitable for more than two people. In addition, these rooms come with amenities/offers that are tied into the theme park -- breakfast with Disney characters, discounts on park entry, etc. But, we were not seeking a Disney experience -- we were looking for a comfortable, quiet room. And that is exactly what we got. The "standard" room was gigantic; we were at the end of building and hence had windows which looked towards the main building and other windows which looked towards the sea; we had a large bathroom with a separate bath and shower (hand held and rain showers!); and quiet, quiet, quiet. We were also offered a pillows menu, and since my wife and I like different types of pillows, this was great. A king-sized bed and a room temperature control system that works the way it is supposed to work -- really, really nice. We slept like babies and would have been ready to tackle the race, but unfortunately, during the night, a huge storm hit the area and the race was cancelled.... Despite that disappointment, we were so happy with our Disneyland Hotel experience that we took the opportunity to sleep in and enjoy the luxury and magic of the room. Given how many families stay at this hotel, and the fact that the children are all super excited about seeing Mickey and the park, our room enjoyed a golden silence. Well done, Disney!! What is not too like' With respect to the hotel itself, nothing -- room quality, service, cleanliness, comfort was all top notch. We found the dinner and breakfast options, however, to be very average, very geared to families whose primary aim is to get to the park as quickly as possible, and very focus those things that make Disney special to children. So, our advice is to go for the sleep and rest, but go elsewhere for your meals, which is why I rate the hotel "very good" instead of "excellent."
"Praise for staff"
This was our 4th stay at the Kingdom club room. The experience was wonderful as usual but made even better because of the warm attentive service that we experienced from Yvonne who works at the Kingdom club lounge. The food selection for the evening canapes has also improved significantly since our last visit. We also appreciated being given priority admission passes for Disneyland park. The free Wifi throughout the hotel and park was good. Points for improvement: - Include an English movie channel (e.g. Disney Movies Channel) - Allow pickup of Disneyland tickets at the hotel. (I was previously able to do this a few years back)
