We're big Disney fans and this was our first visit to HK Disneyland. We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel for one night and loved it. Our room was large enough for our family of 4 which includes two teenagers. We had a deluxe room with a balcony and loved our view and being able to hear the Disney music being played outside. We used the gym which was well equipped and ate at Walt's Cafe three times (two dinners, one breakfast) and enjoyed it every time. After a week of staying in Kowloon, the salad bar at Walt's for dinner was much needed and since our kids are older, the Enchanted Garden as lovely as it seemed, was too crazy for us. The hotel is in close walking distance to the park and only because it rained, did we use the shuttle back from the park which was very convenient. As regulars at the Grand Californian in Anaheim and fans of the Contemporary in Orlando, we thought this hotel met our expectations. Room had a bit of wear and tear but wasn't bad and the hotel cast members were helpful and attentive. The maze in the back of the hotel was fun to run around in and the grounds were as expected, gorgeous and lush. Would love to visit again someday!
"nice hotel but kinda old"
booked this hotel for my son who loves disneyland. first thing is that they need to improve on their check in procedure. the line was long around 12nn and there were only 2 staff manning the counter. since they know that the influx of people would be around that time, they should add more people. the manager said the staff would just be coming in. and line was terribly long, an hour of wait for check in. secondly, the chinese restaurant inside the hotel serves super bad cantonese food. my son loves dimsum but he told me his food was not good thirdly, thy should add more shuttle from the hotel to the park during the mornings. the interval of 10-15 mins isnt enough with the long line! since they know the peak time of people going to the park is around 10-11am, they should add more buses. the good part though was that we were upgraded to a bigger room with balloons and frills. it was a happy time for him. breakfast was sumptuous. the characters were there for the photo op and it made my sons day. rooms were ok but its getting old though and soon needs to be refurbished
The check in & check out process were very easy. The room was nice / luxurious & clean. The pool was cold. The breakfast buffet was great & you could even order off the main menu with the buffet. Shuttle service to the park was efficient & prompt. We were there only 1 nite so we didn't get to experience all of the amenities offered.
"Dreams do come true!"
Awesome stay! Totally outstanding and worth every penny sent. Not only the kids but we, adults were equally excited about the property and high class amenities. Staying at the property has its own benefits like you can visit the park during evening and enjoy the parade. You can also opt for kids make over ( Disney character). Highly recommended!
"A Magical Stay"
Having been blown away by our Shanghai Disneyland hotel experience, we didn't think that it could be beaten. But the Hong Kong Disneyland hotel was keen to impress. From check in with Melody, who demonstrated a passion for the Disney parks and brand as we chatted away, to our room which offered a stunning sea view, we were not disappointed. The room itself was large and had the best bathroom I have had in a Disney hotel. It was located on the same floor as the lounge which provided breakfast (albeit a little less substantial than Shanghai, but enough for us!) and a cocktail service in the evening which included delicious small portion dishes that were enough for a light dinner. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the park and the train station so once we arrived, we didn't bother with shuttles. The park is smaller than others we had visited, so we took advantage of the hotel's pool and spa facilities to relax. Given the time of year, the outdoor pool was closed, but this did not create a problem. The only thing we found to be strange was the lack of a hotel bar. It was a bit strange for the hotel's size. It seems that during the warmer months there is a bar opened out by the pool. On the up side, this gave us a good excuse to go for a stroll to the Hollywood hotel which had a fantastic lobby and bar. On the second day we decided we would be returning and upgraded to an annual pass.
