"Perfect in Every Way"
My family and I arrived here in the middle of winter, to find the most beautiful hotel we have stayed at. Everything is beautiful, and the staff are more than helpful! It has the most wonderful courtyard areas, as it is a villa which has been transformed into a hotel, with orange trees and fountains everywhere, a beautiful outdoor pool, and the most relaxing thermal baths! Breakfast is included, and the breakfast room is situated on glass panels, over ancient Roman ruins! It is so unique and peaceful, even though it is close to the heart of the town! It is the perfect place to stay!
"A decent option in Cordoba"
While there was no real warmth of service -- and staff consistently seemed a bit harried and chilly -- there are some very good features: - on a hot day in Cordoba, it is very nice to be able to come back to the pool and garden in the afternoon. The pool is very small, and the loungers quickly filled up -- but still nice to have this option. - we booked one of the historic suites, and it was a good but not great accommodation -- the shower leaked profusely, there was virtually no counter space, and it was a junior suite in size. There was some attraction to the historic features, but the mix with modern design elements mostly just seemed tacky rather than interesting. - the breakfast buffet is good, with a more than average array of choices - the walk into the heart of Cordoba is not bad -- maybe 10 minutes or so If there were another luxury option in Cordoba, this place would need to up its game, but as is, it's a fine option, if not remarkable.
"Superb , on a roman villa!"
The service is great, staff is super. When we arrived we found nice pelouches for our children, the beds are very comfortable, rooms were very silencious. Breakfast rich and enjoyable. .. But the main thing is the roman villa under the hotel and the nice roman baths that you can use!
"great location high standard"
Just 10 minutes walking distance from Mezquita or from other great points of interest. The different people in attendance are all very smiling and efficient. You can have a drink in a very nice patio or around the outdoor swimming pool. The room was very comfortable and cosy with a very nice bathroom. If you have time you can pamper in the spa. If coming by driving ask for a parking place. The breakfast is served in a beautiful room. The whole hotel is very elegant.
"Revitalized by this Remodeled Villa"
This wonderful boutique hotel is tucked away in central Cordoba in an old villa that has been exquisitely remodeled. The central courtyard got glassed over (floor and ceiling) during the remodel. As you dine, you can look through the floor and see Roman mozaics from the original villa on this site. It's hard to find. Despite impeccable directions, we ended up calling from the car, and the manager met us in the street, and arranged for our car to be unloaded and taken away. We were refreshed with our welcome drink and sat comfortably at the check-in desk with our host, confirming some arrangements we'd made by email and making some additional plans for our brief stay. Our bags were already in our room, when we were led there and acquainted with the accommodations. Once you are checked in, it is so comfortable, it will be hard to leave your room or the hotel. Once you actually do venture forth into the charming city of Cordoba (we had arranged a walking tour), you'll be happy to return to the hotel for an afternoon swim in the outdoor pool, with its small and friendly bar. We did a lot in our short time in Cordoba, and found that the underground spa and pools below the hotel were also a great place for revitalization. My impression is that this small boutique hotel sponsors a lot of local cultural events. While we were there we enjoyed a dinner one night featuring some of the top modern flamenco artists in Spain. I wish we could have stayed a bit longer at this gem...but there is just so much in Spain to explore. I fantasize of returning for a week.
