The Hotel 500 Firenze is easy to reach from highway A1 Rome-Florence (4km from exit Firenze Nord, 2km from Sesto Fiorentino-Calenzano), from Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport (5 km), and from Florence city center (14 km). The hotel has a large parking area for 300 cars.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Florence and the surrounding area. My room was very spacious. The bathroom modern. The room had a front entrance in the annex away from the main villa. The room had a rear entrance to a lovely covered porch. The staff were very professional. The restaurant has a nice menu and good selection of wines. The pool area was lovely and inviting. The only downside to this property was it's location in a industrial area. I would definitely stay here again even with the commercial area nearby. You just need a car to access Florence and the surrounding country.
"Unique Hotel! A True Find"
I would have never anticipated such a beautiful place tucked away in the Gardens of Firenze. Off the beaten path for sure! Closer to Prato. Lovely Restaurant, modern rooms, beautiful patio, excellent service. Great for large groups and business meetings!! It is now our go-to place unless we just want to be right in the middle of Florence for shopping!!
"Nice but "Italian-Style-Arrogant""
To be fair this hotel has a good atmosphere. It has a nice pool. And the rooms are comfortable. My problem with it is that it's in the middle of nowhere, and their "kitchen closes". We arrived at 2:30pm. Our room was not ready. So we waited in the lobby until 3:20pm. It's not like it was 5 or 6pm. But still "food not possibOl". I mean when they saw that we were annoyed by this, they tried to tell us they'd make cold sandwiches. Then they called and said they'll make some pasta. But you see it feels like you, the client, are imposing on them. And it felt like whoever was going to cook that food was not prepared for this. So we declined. This has lead to us taking a 50euro cab to Florence. Lunching very late. So we came back to the hotel late. And we needed to dine late. But guess what. The kitchen was closed. So we slept without eating. If this hotel was downtown, and you could maybe order-in or walk to a restaurant, this system would be easier to digest. But it's in the middle of nowhere! Travel is about being relaxed and stress-free. The right word is BEING PAMPERED. Rarely getting "no" for an answer. Americans and Lebanese (yes, Middle-East Lebanon) service providers are amazing at that. But not the Italians. And not this hotel.
"Amazing food, nice room but no guests "
We spent two days at this hotel as part of a two week trip around Italy. The hotel's facilities were amazing with a lovely pool, great restaurant and food and beautiful grounds. The rooms were comfortable and clean. However the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere and it's really expensive to get anywhere without a car. A taxi to Florence can cost up to €50 partly because there is a huge call out fee and the taxi drivers also add a supplementary tip that you have no say over. We discovered there is a train station 1km away but you can't even walk there as its all main roads.. We got a taxi there once and it still cost €20 due to the massive call out fee / tips they added of €16. The other really weird thing about this hotel is there is literally no other guests that come for tourism. During the day it's very quiet - so much so that the only people we saw were staff or friends of the owners. It kinda felt as though we were an inconvenience to them actually being in the hotel. When we went to ask reception a question it seemed to come as a surprise that we were even there. The hotel did have more business guests that seemed to appear after work. They also run events - so much so that on our second evening not even joking but about 300 people turned up for a dance show. This did disturb our sleep a bit as they were playing load music until quite late. It was also really random because there was literally no one and then suddenly hundreds of people. The hotel has the capacity of being really great but it depends who their target market is. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the facilities are good. If they want to encourage tourists they need to put on a shuttle to Florence.
"Loved it. "
We stayed here for 2 nights using it as a base to see Pisa and Florence. It really is in the middle of nowhere but wasn't a problem for us as we had a car. We had a room over in the separate building on the first floor. Room was huge, had a big wooden vaulted ceiling. We had a separate single bed for our 3 year old who was delighted. Only downside was the roof came down so far outside there wasn't much natural light but plenty lights inside. Breakfast was fine... cereal, toast, croissants..... Fruit, cakes (what nationality is it that has cakes for breakfast') Beds were ultra comfy and the room was quiet. Had a great nights sleep. Only niggle was the glass panel between the bath and the bedroom!!!! Really!!!! It didn't add anything good to the experience. Lol It has lovely gardens too and although we didn't use the pool we did have a wander through the garden. I even stole a plum from the plum tree. Delicious.... Oh and my son loved watching the mummy swift come to feed her babies in their nest just outside the breakfast room.
