"Intimidating. 4 star, don't make me laugh, would not return if it was free."
I arrived before midnight to find the Hotel locked with no view of staff inside. There was a buzzer which I repeatedly pressed but with no response. The street outside is at night desolate except for a few drunks and others asking for money. it was a horrible experience to be alone outside for 10 minutes with my bags and no answer from reception. Several times I banged on the Glass door. Eventually the door was unlocked from inside and I went to the reception Desk which cannot be viewed from the street to find the receptionist talking to two other guests and totally ignoring the buzzer. I remonstrated with him but he totally ignored me, spoke no English and was rude. After checkin I went to my room which would be better described as a Cell, There is no room to put bags except by the side of the Bed and that means only accessing from one side. The noise from the elevators is awful and all night. Additional noise comes from the other rooms, the walls must be uninsulated. The window does not look out into the outside but into a pipe duct and therefore there is no light at all. Breakfast was meager, poor selection of fruits, breads, no cereals and no yogurts. This Hotel was reserved for me but it is a given that I will never return.
The Nogaro hotel is well located downtown within walking distance of several tourist attractions such as "Casa Rosada", Calle Florida", etc. The area seems to be safe and well served with taxis. I have booked a double room through "Booking.com" and when I got there they gave me a room completely different than the one I saw in the internet. I complained and they changed it immediately and gave me a room similar to the one I saw in the internet. It is clean and safe, but breakfast is poor.
"Average hotel in downtown area"
The Nogaro is a older hotel within walking distance of many of the downtown attractions. The area feels safe and the hotel is clean and also feels safe. The breakfast is average and similar to breakfast in South American countries. The internet is also about the same speed as most in Argentina - not fast, but adequate for most users.
"Hotel Nogaro, BA"
I have staying at this hotel for over 10 years. On the plus side it has friendly, great service and the rooms are comfortable, clean and safe. The only negative I have about this hotel is that breakfast is a little lacking. That said that isn't expensive. So you kind'a get what you are paying for! Location is great to visit any of the popular sites in BA. The staff will gladly organize you a remise to any of the airports or ferries. This is a really good service to eze. Will continue to stay here as long as the value for money ratio continues!
The Customer Service is Excellent. Breakfast was good. but the Condition of the rooms was terrible the bed was old and the curtains. Very good location but the need to upgrade the furniture and bed. The Staff was very helpful since i was a english speaking customer for a overnight stay not bad but i wouldnt recommend this hotel for a longer stay.
