The Hotel Al Codega sits between the Rialto Bridge and the Plaza San Marco. Surrounding it are architectural gems, replete with history, and myriad restaurants, bars, and boutiques. One of the most enchanting areas of ancient Venice.
Very nice hotel, tucked away from the hustle and bustle. A little hard to find at first, but a wonderful place with AMAZING breakfast. Safe in the room with excellent accommodations for families. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
"We loved our stay at Al Codega"
We cannot recommend Hotel Al Codega highly enough. It is tucked away in a little courtyard behind the hustle and bustle but it's location is perfect for exploring Venice and is very central to the ferries, Rialto bridge, San Marco square etc. The service was excellent and the breakfast had everything you would ever need. Our room was very quiet and spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this enchanting city.
"Fantastic find "
We stayed in Al Codega in January after a visit to Rome. Venice was much quieter and had a more relaxing feel to it. This hotel was fantastic our room was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Staff keep a close eye on who is coming and going from the hotel as the elevator always stops at reception to ensure it's guests staying in the hotel. We availed of breakfast here and it was quite a spread everything was fresh and a great choice of foods and drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel for cleanliness, helpful staff, location wise it's perfect so close to Rialto bridge and the water bus and st marks square. Thank you for our lovely stay.
"Loved the AL Codega. Definitely would return."
Michele at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We asked about the train to Verona for a few hours and the next time we passed the desk he handed us print outs of the train schedule he had looked up. Every day they asked how our day was. The breakfast was very good.
The rich, varied breakfast, almost entirely fresh-made, is worth the visit by itself. The hotel is in a small and totally quiet courtyard, and accesses are closely watched by the staff. The location, more or less halfway between San Marco and Rialto, is convenient enough to reach by public transport (boat) and ideal to walk around the city. My room was spotless clean, everything worked well, the bed was comfortable albeit a bit short for me (194cm or 6'4" tall)
