The Hotel Al Codega sits between the Rialto Bridge and the Plaza San Marco. Surrounding it are architectural gems, replete with history, and myriad restaurants, bars, and boutiques. One of the most enchanting areas of ancient Venice.
A wonderful hotel to stay at. Staff in hotel friendly and very helpful in all requests. The hotel had a very spacious room and very clean . Hotel situated a few minutes from st marks square but in a courtyard so is quiet.
"Impeccable! Beautiful breakfast."
Loved everything about the place, except for the hard to find location. Well work the brief hunt. The breakfast was so beautifully presented-the best of the five places we stayed while in Italy. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Al Codega is a small boutique family run hotel in a quiet courtyard in central Venice, five minutes from St Marks square and the Rialto Bridge. Excellent service and clean, smart and comfortable rooms. Easy to get to from the airport by water bus (€15 pp) which drops you 3mins from the hotel with no bridges to drag suitcases over. Highly recommended.
"Great Boutique Hotel Experience"
Stayed three nights at this great little hotel in Venice. The hotel, like any other hotel in Venice is difficult to find in the endless tangle of small streets, so be sure to find out exactly where it is before venturing down what seems like a million miles of tiny alleyways and streets. Once found it is a delight. The hotel itself is conveniently situated for ALL of Venice's attractions, five minutes from St Mark's and Rialto Bridge. On arrival the extremely friendly receptionist gave us some great advice on how to get and around and make the most of our visit, which allowed us to make the most of our four days. The hotel room was spotless and well maintained and offered all of the usual facilities, shower, mini bar etc, and the towels were changed daily. The continental breakfast, was superb offering a wide range of food. All of the staff were delightful, polite, courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Venice.
"A Fantastic Hotel Experience"
Finding the location of a hotel in Venice can be challenging. Hotel Al Codega was no exception. However, Al Codega is one which is certainly worth finding. Nestled in a courtyard behind some of the shopping alleyways, it is a very discrete location. The decor is classy and the service first class. It is quiet but right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Venice, 5 minutes from the Piazza San Marco. The breakfast is the best we have had on our European vacation, and caters for special diets including gluten free. We will be staying there next time we visit Venice!
