The Hotel Al Codega sits between the Rialto Bridge and the Plaza San Marco. Surrounding it are architectural gems, replete with history, and myriad restaurants, bars, and boutiques. One of the most enchanting areas of ancient Venice.
Clean tiny dark rooms. Venezia is the place you love to stay but no food nor rooms available at reasonable prices. Just dark, damp rooms. Polite service but nothing else. good breakfast in a dark dark dark dinning room. No light. No internet inside rooms.
This hotel was perfect for us, nice and quiet but still in the middle of everything. It was spotless and the breakfast was just perfect. Friendly staff and should I go back to Venice I would defiantly stay here again
"Great boutique hotel!"
This was a great little hotel with attentive, enthusiastic staff and very nice (but somewhat small) rooms. If you don't mind a room with two twin beds, room 203 does give you a bit more room and the WC is separate from the shower/sink. The only challenge is finding this gem when you get off the Vaporetto. Take Vaporetto 1 for absolutely no bridge/steps, but even #2, you will just have a small bridge. Do not make our mistake and cross the Rialto Bridge. The map provided is misleading and the little streets are not labeled. If you can get to H&M (3 minutes from Grand Canal ) you are nearly there. Walk along the side of the store (it will be on your right) and then take the first right turn, and then right again into the courtyard of this hotel.
"Real gem of a hotel!"
I stayed in the Al Codega last week for 5 days and it was absolutely delightful, with the perfect location! The staff were totally professional and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in Venice and the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The morning we left, it was very early and before breakfast time, so the manager arranged a 'breakfast box' to take with us. Highly recommended!
Great hidden gem of a hotel in Venice... Friendly and helpful staff and hotel premises and rooms are very clean. Breakfast was good as well, elevator was small but at least they had one. Since its away from the busy walk ways of Venice, the hotel is a but hard to find, until I saw a video on how to find the hotel on YouTube... Search for the video its a big help.
