"If you MUST stay in Brussels, Rocco Forte has you covered!"
Let's be kind and say that Brussels offers a VERY wide range of neighborhoods and offerings. This hotel is classic Forte: understated elegance, WONDERFUL staff, great food, beautifully restored old building in a nicely restored section of central Brussels. Like other Forte properties, the rooms are not huge, but they are perfectly appointed with every thoughtful amenity. This was bith a business and pleasure trip. It was perfect for both. Super-glazed windows allowing great views and light and guaranteeing absolute silence.
"Understated luxury in the heart of Brussels that you will find hard to beat."
One the Rocco Forte chain of luxury hotels and it shows. Brilliant position which is hard to beat, Near the train station and if you are driving like us they have parking in the basement . Well drilled , friendly and welcoming in every department . A great attention to detail and clients requirements. Couldn't fault any department. Rooms are a little to understated. with a rather small bathroom, which left us taking turns . One item we were surprised that the room missed was the nespresso machine . Now a staple in nearly all hotels. Small but a surprise. All in all an excellent hotel , Stylish, next to the Grand Place , Not to large and surrounded by eateries and best of all great staff .
"This is the most wonderful hotel in a very center of Brussels"
Once I started to plan my trip to Belgium, I was aiming to find the best hotel in a very center of Brussels. I was searching for an exceptional place as I’m really obsessed with location and decor of hotels I stay in. The Hotel Amigo, where I stayed, is over 500 years of age and still has the original lobby floor cobblestones. These cobblestones would have also been used on the streets outside. These date back to 620 and were perfectly preserved when the hotel underwent renovations. I was lucky enough to be able to walk on these during my stay at Hotel Amigo this past week! Since Hotel Amigo is in the very center of Brussels, near the Grand Palace, I had an amazing view from my classic room window. There is nothing else quite like being able to look outside your window and actually feel and see the city. From the people in the square marveling at the Grand Palace, to the well-established and organized feel of the average workday. The square takes on different auras throughout the day, becoming this center focal point that requires more than one visit to be able to take it all in. The classic room has a very modern and nice design to it. It’s simple, elegant and quite comfortable! Plus, the bedroom has a workspace included, so for those who are traveling for business purposes, won’t necessarily have to leave their room and find a workspace at one of the many cafes in the square. Plus, the hotel serves delicious pastries for those who get hungry!
"Great location and service"
This hotel is in a great location, just next to the Grand Place and a short walk from the central train station. Despite being near many restaurants and bars, the hotel is very quiet. The service is excellent and I found the concierge staff to be particularly helpful. The rooms are a good size and efficiently designed. The fitness centre is very well equipped.
"Amazing hotel in great location. would definitely stay there again."
This hotel is a hidden gem. The staff were very helpful and sincere in all our dealings with them. The rooms were great; even had heated floors and towel racks. The beds were very comfortable and breakfast amazing.
