A convenient location of the hotel in an immediate vicinity of the underground and the tram station enables you to get within few minutes to the most prominent and sought after places in the historical part of Prague, for example the Wenceslas Square, Old Town Sqaure, Charles Bridge or the famous Prague Castle.
"Checked in Sep21 2016"
I lived in this hotel for 4 nights, the front desk weren't friendly (never smiled to me) and every time I try to ask something never show an effort to help and their knowledge of tourist information were very limited . Breakfast was included, I only went once and it disgusted me, all the food looked like they have been there since the night before, the edge of each slice of ham or meat were already dry up and changed color, fruit was small ,dirty and rotten. Room was small but acceptable with the price, and cleaning lady cleaned it every day. It's kind of noisy because the front is a major road with a lot of cars and buses. It's convenient to metro, within 5 mins walking range there is subway ,buses and trims. This is a place just for cheaper bed and easy metro.
I will go into some detail on my review as I really debated whether to stay at this hotel based on prior reviews. The hotel was purchased with a package deal on Expedia. The rate per night was exceptional. Smichov is a great place to stay in Prague due to the easy Metro access and number of reasonably priced restaurants. My room was very small. There is really no room beyond the bed itself. The website photos are not reflective of the actually room I received. There is perhaps an extra foot around the bed. It was clean and the bathroom was fine with adequate room. The room window opens to a very noisy street- up until 11pm and then it slows down. There are two windows so when they are both closed it greatly reduces the noise. With the window open it would be close to impossible to sleep. Heard two accidents and plenty of sirens. There was a sign in the room to rent an AC unit (didn't need it). The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was average - not much change over 5 days. This hotel is also very close to the Metro, about a block away if you pick the correct exit from the subway. Very good TV selection. The hotel also has you leave a deposit upon check in and then they verify if you use anything out of the mini-bar before leaving. The deposit was released in a timely manner. The elevator was working just fine (other reviews indicate this was a problem). In my opinion, if you are spending any time in your room, this probably isn't a good pick. If you need to sleep with the window open, this would be a bad choice. However, if you are trying to cut cost and just using the room to sleep - I think it would be fine.
"Nice but NO air conditioning "
I intentionally booked this hotel because of it's location and the fact that it has air conditioning. When we arrived we were told it would be "extra" to turn on the a/c. We paid the 300 kc for two nights (about $12 US) and were given the remote. It still didn't work! I knew late August would be sweltering with no a/c. We were told that the hotel was fully booked so we were just SOL. Never again :(
"Shabby Budget Hotel"
Booked this hotel at the last minute due to an issue with the travel company that we had booked the original hotel through. Having looked at hotels available and looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor we decided that this looked the best available in our price range, unfortunately we were very disappointed by this hotel. The pictures on their website look very different to the actual hotel. The rooms were very small and very shabby, the fixtures and fitting did not fit properly, bits of carpet were ripped and peeling away from the wall, wallpaper was peeling away, there were broken tiles and a broken mirror in the bathroom.I have added pictures to this review to show some of the issues with the hotel room. The hotel website advertises free WiFi and a safe in every room, when we arrived we discovered that there was no safe in our room, we told the receptionist about this, who informed us that there was not a safe in every room and that the information on the website was incorrect. The bed in the hotel was extremely uncomfortable and the bedding wasn't changed everyday, the room wasn't cleaned particularly well at all. On the first night there was a spiders web and fly's in the corner of the room, after informing reception they told us that there was no one available to clean the room but gave us a hoover and told us that we could do it ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel was not very nice. The fruit was dried out and looked like it had been there for a few days. The breads were ok, not homemade but acceptable. There was not a lot of variety and the meats that were there were not very tasty or appetising. The only plus side to this hotel was the fact that it was very close to the centre of Prague, and could be reached within 10 minutes on the Metro, only 3 stops from the centre of Prague. I would not stop at this hotel again and would recommend that people avoid this hotel at all costs.
"Vacation time 10 days"
I stood here for 10 days, everyone was amazing, the hotel was clean, the people very attentive and lets not forget free breakfast!!!. I was there every morning at 7:30am to have breakfast. It is open from 7-10am. The only thing not good i have to say is that i asked for a city view and i got a backyard view thus i asked way ahead of time...
