A convenient location of the hotel in an immediate vicinity of the underground and the tram station enables you to get within few minutes to the most prominent and sought after places in the historical part of Prague, for example the Wenceslas Square, Old Town Sqaure, Charles Bridge or the famous Prague Castle.
"Nice but NO air conditioning "
I intentionally booked this hotel because of it's location and the fact that it has air conditioning. When we arrived we were told it would be "extra" to turn on the a/c. We paid the 300 kc for two nights (about $12 US) and were given the remote. It still didn't work! I knew late August would be sweltering with no a/c. We were told that the hotel was fully booked so we were just SOL. Never again :(
"Shabby Budget Hotel"
Booked this hotel at the last minute due to an issue with the travel company that we had booked the original hotel through. Having looked at hotels available and looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor we decided that this looked the best available in our price range, unfortunately we were very disappointed by this hotel. The pictures on their website look very different to the actual hotel. The rooms were very small and very shabby, the fixtures and fitting did not fit properly, bits of carpet were ripped and peeling away from the wall, wallpaper was peeling away, there were broken tiles and a broken mirror in the bathroom.I have added pictures to this review to show some of the issues with the hotel room. The hotel website advertises free WiFi and a safe in every room, when we arrived we discovered that there was no safe in our room, we told the receptionist about this, who informed us that there was not a safe in every room and that the information on the website was incorrect. The bed in the hotel was extremely uncomfortable and the bedding wasn't changed everyday, the room wasn't cleaned particularly well at all. On the first night there was a spiders web and fly's in the corner of the room, after informing reception they told us that there was no one available to clean the room but gave us a hoover and told us that we could do it ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel was not very nice. The fruit was dried out and looked like it had been there for a few days. The breads were ok, not homemade but acceptable. There was not a lot of variety and the meats that were there were not very tasty or appetising. The only plus side to this hotel was the fact that it was very close to the centre of Prague, and could be reached within 10 minutes on the Metro, only 3 stops from the centre of Prague. I would not stop at this hotel again and would recommend that people avoid this hotel at all costs.
"Vacation time 10 days"
I stood here for 10 days, everyone was amazing, the hotel was clean, the people very attentive and lets not forget free breakfast!!!. I was there every morning at 7:30am to have breakfast. It is open from 7-10am. The only thing not good i have to say is that i asked for a city view and i got a backyard view thus i asked way ahead of time...
We were sold a double room by booking.com which turned out to be the typical scam where we ended up with a twin single. However! The people were very friendly and helpful, the hotel is situated smack bang next to the metro station and bus stop, and the included breakfast was good. The room was very clean, the tv worked well and had access to all the channels im sure anybody could want, and the bathroom well maintained and functional with the same standard of cleanliness. The location is probably the biggest bonus being a very easy ride on the B metro line straight into the centre of Prague in a few minutes, and we were also lucky enough to have a room at the back of the Hotel so we had very little noise to worry about. I cannot comment on rooms at the front of the building, but I can safely say that ours was fantastically silent. We wanted to book again, but unfortunately for our last minute holiday plans the hotel is very popular so I would say book well in advance and you are sure to get a room, they disappear quick! We would definitely reccommend this Hotel for other couples!
"Ask for a room at the back, not the front of the hotel"
This is a basic hotel, not bad at all at this price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. I stayed in two different rooms in this hotel. The room facing the back of the building was quiet, and I could keep the windows open to stay cool. However, the rooms to the front of the hotel are overlooking a busy road, so quite noisy. Worse, the front of the hotel faces east, so in the summer you get full daylight in the room from very early in the morning - as well as being very hot, this meant that I couldn't sleep past 6 am. There was only a very thin curtain, which did very little to block the light coming in.
