Little gem hotel, 4 stars, 16 rooms, located in Via dell'Amorino, in a strategic location for both business and leisure tourists, a few steps from the main attractions of the city. The train station of Santa Maria Novella is just 5 minutes walk. The exhibition center of Fortezza da Basso, the Congress Centre with Palazzo dei Congressi and Palazzo degli Affari is just 10 minutes away.
"Very good location, but lost glory somehow"
The hotel is very well located, the staff is friendly and correct, breakfast is OK (but I regretted the absence of fruit salad). The overall impression of the reception and the rooms to me is one of lost glory, cleaning seems to be superficial in some cases, my room had no view (only on other close buildings or on a small inner patio), my above neighbours were rather noisy in the evening/at night and the room was far too hot (I did not manage to lower the airco/heating under 23 degrees).
- 7 min walk to the train station - 7 min walk to the Duomo - Restaurants steps away from hotel - Bed super comfy - Staff extremely helpful and kind - Breakfast was good to start the day Highly recommend and price is right!
"Very pleasant stay"
We spent 4 nightss at this lovely hotel. Great location, near to the train station, and the Duomo and surrounding area. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very simple but adequate with the usual cereals, juices, pastries, cheese, hams, eggs etc. Cappuccino or coffee or your choice freshly made if required, or available from a coffee/tea/hot water machine. Lots of varieties of teas available. The hotel was very clean.
"Quaint, cozy in a perfect location"
My fiance and I stayed here for 3 nights, and it was the absolute perfect location - walkable to the Duomo and everywhere else you'd want to go. The rooms are simple but cozy and had everything we needed. The concierge was extremely helpful with arranging a taxi for us to the airport early in the morning, and the breakfast was included - also a plus!
"Location is the biggest asset for this hotel!!"
Just came back from our trip to Italy, and stayed at this boutique hotel for 3 nights during our time in Florence. Location: Location is amazing. Its literally 5 minutes from the Florence Train Station. Yes - you dont even have to cab it. Florence is a city of small streets, so it will take longer in a cab to reach this hotel. We walked with our luggage and reached the hotel in 5 minutes. Its just two blocks away. The Dome is another 5 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. So the location is absolutely amazing. Room: The room and bathroom were a decent size. There is a safe in the closet, which is a must. There was an additional room/closet that we hardly used. The shower was comfortable, but is situated on the side of the tub. This makes it hard to move back when showering, but not a big deal. We were mostly out all day, and also used the room to sleep. The only issue I had with the room was the noise of utensils and people talking at night. Our room had a small window facing an area surrounded with walls. I thought it was the kitchen maybe' Anyways, daily at night I would hear people talking and noise of utensils. One night at 11:30 PM, the people were playing loud music. So I called the front desk, and then the music stopped, but the people were still talking. Then the noise stopped at midnight I think. Anyways, that was the only issue with the room. Breakfast: The breakfast was apparently included with the room, but its not that great. The best thing about the breakfast is the coffee machine. It makes amazing cappuccino. So have some coffee and head out to eat at the many amazing restaurants around the hotel. Wifi: Wifi was pretty strong at the hotel. Sometimes it went on and off, but I was able to Facetime with my family back home with no issues. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel and had no complaints. The front desk was always very friendly and greeted us each time we came back. There is no bar really at the hotel. The front desk guy will make you a drink if needed, but its not an official bar. Highly recommend this hotel for its location!!!
