Art hotel is a walking distance from Rome's most famous attractions such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain Pantheon, and Villa Borghese gardens.
"Location, location, location"
As you can tell the best thing about this hotel is its location. You are as close as can be to the Spanish Steps and Piazza Spagna. Top notch shopping is right outside the hotel entrance. For these two reasons alone this hotel is worth a look by anyone coming to Rome. Major sights are withing 5 to 10min walk of the Hotel. The value of this cannot be understated since the metro in Rome does not goe everywhere and taxis can be prohibitive. The cons: small rooms, small shower and in our room, and AC that seemed to have a mind of its own. Having said that everyone was courteous and breakfast and wifi was included.
"Just so so"
It is cozy and neat but I would not recommend to stay here as a five star hotel. It is not much different with three stars that i stayed last time~ rooms are narrow~ luckily they let us in before check in time as we arrive in the early morning.
"lovely decor and concept, but sound insulation."
I liked the room, even though was a little shocked at the size of the single bed. Location was brilliant-- I could walk everywhere. But one thing that ruined the whole experience was the bad sound insulation. I couldn't sleep during my flight to Rome so to be honest, i was exhausted when i arrived the hotel, even though it was 10 in the morning. After a full day exploring Rome, i went to bed about 9 but couldn't sleep much. The door crack was quite big, i assume, and i heard every single person's conversation outside and every step on the corridor. And the doors banged loudly as well. It was a very noisy night and i simply couldn't sleep.
"Weekend in Rome"
My husband and I just spent a long weekend in Rome staying at the Hotel Art. After reading some excellent reviews we were less disappointed by our stay. The room was small but comfortable and clean and the welcome and staff were superb, the hotel is located centrally to explore the city and we had plenty of excellent meals within a few minutes walk from the hotel. So what wasn't good ' Well really it's that the hotel lacks any kind of atmosphere, the smell from the floral atomisers is overwhelming but there is just nothing there, the restaurant is an empty hall with 4 tables, the bar is an empty space with no one in sight and there is just nowhere else to go with just a small dark room to sit in, not even a coffee machine in sight unless you book a more expensive room than we did. Honestly we wouldn't have paid for the extra space in the photos on the site, the hotel is a little sad, brilliant for the city, clean and tidy but "blah" - for the pricing you can do much better - shame because the staff were truly lovely
"Perfect hotel for weekend stay"
6 of us stayed here (3 rooms) in February 2017 for 3 nights. It's in the most perfect location to see Rome, just off the main shopping district, close to the Spanish Steps and Piazza Popolo, within easy reach of the metro. Rooms are small, as are the bathrooms, but kept very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit and pastries, good coffee, cooked breakfast was also available if you wanted it. The staff were extremely professional, helpful and charming. Fernandinho was particularly courteous. They made our stay really pleasant and their recommendations for dinner were spot on. Would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a good hotel in a great location.
