Art hotel is a walking distance from Rome's most famous attractions such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain Pantheon, and Villa Borghese gardens.
We visited in September and found this a welcome retreat from the crowds but still in the centre of things. Having read the reviews, we were expecting an above average breakfast for a continental hotel and we were not disappointed! The staff were all very helpful. The ambience is smart but relaxed and there are several good restaurants within strolling distance. Would stay here again if we come back to Rome.
""Arrivederci Roma," it's time for us to part, but we did not want to!"
We stayed for four nights end of October, early November with my husband's mother. We had asked for a larger room, which was on the first floor (neon yellow) hallways. Her room was small but for one person it was good. Via Margutta was adjacent to everything, the hotel was very appealing, modern, clean and best of all the staff! I have food allergies and the folks were able to send us to local places where I could safely dine. Giancarlo, was one of the staff members that we really enjoyed. There was a small bar area that was also the breakfast buffet area/afternoon drinks. We enjoyed having our wine. We have stayed in Rome previously and what attracted us to the hotel was the newness, crisp linens, location of course. There was a buffet, the likes of which were to the extreme, everything from roasted vegetables, to cold cuts to pastries, scrambled eggs, it was a very nice addition to the hotel experience. In all, yes we would return, for sure!
we were this summer, august, with my family on a tour in italy. we booked this hotel first of all because of the location . PERFICT as a location. with a walking distance to almost everything. very good facilities , rooms, restaurant, and services. very good as a value for money hotel in rome.
"More than artsy-shmartsy"
Stayed here, for the first time, with a travel companion in mid-September. A block from the Spanish Steps (under renovation during our stay), in the high-end shopping district. The property is modern and clean, brightly colored; the staff professional and helpful. Breakfast was everything from an espresso-and-cornetto to something more substantial -- again, professionally offered. A bit of a walk from other historical sights, but who couldn't benefit from a stroll through the cobbled streets of this great city' Well worth it, especially if Via Condotti & environs are one of your planned excursions.
"small hotel-great location"
Nice clean hotel- Small rooms despite that I paid for the "larger" one and needed to make sure they had complied. Still not sure which one I was given. For a short person difficult to reach towels- really! Noisy between floors and rooms- they need to work on that. Appealing breakfast in a nice setting. Hot one night and controls for a/c are at the front desk- called twice and it was still hot. Other nights had been fine so this was annoying. Desk staff aloof although this may just be Rome.
