"Fantastic and Elegant!"
Absolutely outstanding service and attention to detail, this was a perfect location! Love the elegant feel of the hotel, the very comfortable beds, and the fantastic service from the front desk, the shuttle and the breakfast service. Also loved the availability of the breakfast room with the view just a block away, and the lovely roof top garden there. It was absolutely picture perfect! Will definitely include a return visit when I come back to Rome!
"Great Location "
A group tour to Italy. This hotel does have airport pick up service but due to customs and luggage we missed the driver and had great difficulty with public phone to try to reach hotel as their instructions stated. Ended up taking public bus with an 8 block walk with luggage. The hotel needs to improve its pick up service. Our room overlooked an alley which was just fine because it was quiet and cool. We could just leave the windows open at night to get a cross breeze. The AC worked fine too. Rooms that faced the street were very hot and noisy. Do not get a room facing the front street. Beds were on the soft side but not too soft. I prefer a softer bed anyway. The cleaning lady on 2nd floor was so very nice and night desk man Bruno was the BEST. Day desk man a bit more abrupt. Breakfast food selection was good with lots of choices. Great location to the Vatacin. About 4 blocks. Good piazza near with lots of choices for cheap to mid priced meals and Taxi stand there too. Also laundromat about 4 blocks away. Take laundry, leave for one hour and return. Attendant changes from wash to dry for you.
Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. However for a four star hotel I would have expected tea and coffee making facilities. Also the bar did not open until 7.00 pm and seemed to lack any ambiance. All of this was nothing when compared to its location. 10 min walk to St Peter's and a short tai ride, or 20 min walk to Piazza Navona.
"Pleasing mix of being well located, adequate in all ways and at a good price."
Very pleased with a couples type holiday staying here for six nights. There may be minor differences between similar rooms but essentially they are adequately sized (for europe they are good sized), used but not worn out, clean and pleasant, nice attention from the staff who are pleasant at all times. For us the quality of the Wifi was perfect and made a welcome change from some more expensive hotels who give poor wifi in rooms. It IS a city hotel so you cannot turn off the city if you leave the windows open, and the aircon cannot be silent (unless you turn it off). Aircon kept us comfortable when it was 32C outside. Commendable. Dont forget to find the tram stop for the no.18 tram just towards the Vatican as this route takes you all around the back and into the city in a counterclockwise arc. Short walk to a number of honest Italian cafes for a street side breakfast if you prefer to hotel buffet. I was dubious about the decor being darer than I like, but it really worked in the Tall rooms. Huge queen bed and lovelly laundry, good towels so ... dont hesitate, its a great option
"Very nice spacious room with jacuzzi bath tub"
I loved this place. It is modern yet has the roman charm. Starting with location: a 7 min walk to the Vatican city and 2 mins to bus / tram stops. Very close the metro station too so public transport is not a problem. Enough eating joints and shopping near by so you need not worry at all. The hotel is up-to 5 floor , we were on the 4th with a roof top terrace to sun bathe / sit and relax. This hotel does not have a restaurant but breakfast is served every morning in the dining hall at the G level. Choices in breakfast is amazing , good enough to please everyone however of course it does become repetitive. We got a family room with 1 double and 2 single , even then had enough place in the room to move around. AC was good and we had two large windows to open if we would like to. Bathroom was very big with a big Jacuzzi bath tub and yes we did relax in it almost every evening. Room was cleaned everyday with change of towels and toiletries were refilled. Cons: The whole room and hotel vibrates when a bus / vehicle passes by from the adjacent road but I guess that is a problem pretty much everywhere in Rome. We just got used to the mild earthquake :) Wifi is really poor on upper floors , I was frustrated almost to look up things on map and had to go down to their business lounge every now and then. There's a lift so it was not tough to climb up and down though it was very small so during breakfast hours we had to wait a bit for the lift. No extra play room or facility for young children so I just entertained mine in Jacuzzi / on the terrace. None of the rooms seem to have balcony. As usual the city tax was applied , it was a bit expensive though for 12 euro per person per day.
