"Review of hotel Berlin"
An average experiance, not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, room was cold and the air conditioner did'n work when we put it on warm air. The breakfast was expensive but the location was good.
Great location close to the Ku-damm, however some rooms need renovation. Prices are increased during expo period. Nice breakfast area, due to high attendance you might wait for fried eggs for 20+ minutes.
"A great experience"
The hotel have been fantastic with us throughout. The room was nice with a great bathroom (we had a premier room), and the gym / sauna area have been a useful addition. We didn't have any food here but the wifi is good throughout the hotel and when our flight got cancelled and left us stranded overnight they were very accommodating in letting us use the facilities to freshen up and provide free coffee! Nothing negative to say.
I don't know how anyone could complain about Hotel Berlin. I have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay there, I wish I could have stayed longer. Personally, I found the hotel to be fantastic value for money, it's in an excellent location (from a tourist's point of view anyway, the tour bus stops right outside). The breakfast every morning was brilliant, a great range of food to suit everyone's taste. Our room was gorgeous too, we had a twin room, it was modern, clean and very comfortable. There was also a safe, which I've had to pay for in other city hotels. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The man on the concierge was an absolute life saver! I would 100% stay again, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit for Berlin.
"Maybe is actually a 3 stars"
It's a big hotel with nearly 500 rooms, so I believe can get difficult to manage. I checked in as couple, and without even asking they provide me with a room with 2 single bed... I asked by phone to reception and after 5 minutes to try to reach them I got an answer that all rooms with big bed were unavailable.. hotel is clean and a bit far from main actions in Berlin however there are buses near by. Mattresses of bed really basic, maybe cheap IKEA stuffs, or anyway not firm and comfortable as it should. I definitely didn't feel a 4 stars or plus as shown in the different website, this is an average 3 stars hotel.
