Had penthouse 6th floor cupola suite racing opera house. Fantastic room. Really comfortable. All the amenities. Great bathroom. Private toilet. Private. Balcony facing opera. Food excellent, but service a bit slow.
"Nice Christmas feeling."
Stayed here for a business trip close to Christmas. The baroque style architecture and the abundant Christmas decorations made for a cozy feeling. Very central location. The room that I got had a lower quality than the rest of the hotel, as it felt a little ran down and old.
This was my second stay in Bristol.Lokation is super, walking distance to every important places. Some rooms have Opera view. Hotel is historic place.Rooms are comfotable quiet and clean , beds are perfect! Friendly staff is profesional and helpfull.
"Luxury with charm, warmth and a personal touch!"
From time to time you stay at a hotel which meets all your expectations! The Bristol in Vienna is such a hotel. First, the location: in the centre of the city, with Wiener Staatsoper on the other side of the street. The famous concert hall Wienerverein is nearby. 10-15 minute’s walk to Inner City and the Stephansdom. And you will love the walk, whether you choose the shopping street (Kärtnerstrasse) or the other smaller side streets. Our double room was spacious, even with a very practical “walk in closet” with plenty of room for suitcases. The bathrooms was large and contained everything you could wish for. The double beds were larger than usual, and very comfortable. The hotel had a top modern fitness centre. The breakfast should meet everybody’s expectations. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant once, and that was a very positive experience: delicious food and perfect service. What really makes this hotel stand out is the warm and personal attitudes of the staff. We felt like coming home when returning to the Bristol after a long day being tourists. So, when location, facilities, room, food, service and atmosphere is top notch, there is no reason for hesitation: we will chose The Bristol for our next visit to Vienna!
"Old world charm"
It is always pleasure to return to Bristol, what I do for years. The location vis a vis Opera and at the corner of Ring and Kaerntnerstrasse can't be better. You have Opera , Albertina for cultural indulgence and Kaerntnerstrasse for shopping within a minutes reach. The service at Bristol is very attentive, rooms are very big with opulent marble bathrooms, very often with separate luggage storage and furnished with antiques. Wifi works, breakfast is nice. Concierge is knowledgeable and full of good tips for dining or arranging tickets for cultural venues. The lobby and restaurant were refurbished few years ago and add elegance and dignity to overall nice picture. The only flaws I can complain about is the coffee blend or its preparation at the restaurant. It often tastes bitter and is not very aromatic. The other critic point is the shoeshine- it is complimentary and as such pleasant and nice touch, however during my visit the quality of polish was less good. I am sure short lesson at famous Materna shoemaker nearby would improve it . Overall I would say it is one of the Grand Hotels in Europe worth visit.
