This is a very nice hotel, we had no problems finding this hotel from the airport . I ordered champagne for the birthday , and tickets for Seine river cruise which were delivered. Maybe wish a person Happy Birthday doesn't cost anything. Overall very central and we liked it
"Lovely little hotel"
I enjoyed our stay at this little hotel. The location is great, close to Madeleine. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast is good. The rooms are a little small, but so are most hotel rooms in Paris. Good value for your money.
"Boutique Hotel in the centre of Paris"
The hotel Chavanel is situated in a great place to be able to explore the fine shops and attractions of the local area (The Louvre, The Musee De Lorangerie, Notre-Dame, Sacre-Coeur, Musee-Dorsay). It also as a lot of eclectic items to excite you and is nicely decorated. The room we had was well laid out with views of the local area. It's position makes it a good choice for those wanting to explore on foot, by bus or by bike. The breakfast room is situated in the basement and is styled like a brick cavern with lots of nice things to tempt you with. I would recommend it and we'll stay again in the future. 🍾🍸🍴🍷☀️
"Very nice boutique hotel but will have to pay 25 Euro per night extra for infants"
My wife, and 20-months old son stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The rooms are the typical smallish size of hotels in Paris, but everything was very clean and updated including the bathroom. The breakfast was very good to. The location is very central and a metro station is just a very short walk away. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The one thing I would like to inform people about is that if you are traveling with an infant, no matter what the age of your child, and even if you book the hotel for 2 adults and a child on Expedia, they charge you 25 Euros extra per night for the child. This is a bit annoying because my son is 20 months and he slept on the same bed and we didn't even ask for a crib for him. Nevertheless, they insisted on charging us extra per night. That was a bit disappointing but a policy is a policy so I understand. Like I said, I would stay here again but now will be prepared to pay extra if I travel with a child. Also, the WiFi speed is a bit slow.
"Not quite what I was expecting"
It wasn't quite as plush as I had hoped. Bit on the small side but location was pretty good. Few good resturants within walking distance. Nice little breakfast room down in the basement. The lady down there is a little grumpy though got friendly over the few days we were there
