"Perfect location, friendly staff"
Stayed in Hotel Claridge for 2 night and I find this boutique hotel to be very convenient. Location is not far from Champ Elysees, Avenue Montaigne and even Rue de Faubourg St Honore. If there's a need for you to have your lunch and dinner, there's also a lot of good restaurant near the hotel. Rooms size are within the European standard and can accommodate comfortably a couple. Bed and linens are immaculately clean and smells good. Staff are friendly and accommodating. It's your home away from home when you're in Paris.
"Bad service for the location and price"
There were a few unhappy incidents happened during our stay. I stayed here with my cousin for 4 nights in Oct 2016. First of all, the hotel is a little outdated but with new paint to refresh the rooms. During the 2nd morning of our stay, I was out buying stuff while my cousin was in the room by herself. As she was putting on clothes after her shower, a male staff stormed into the room without knocking and caught her naked, looks like he had to check something. Upon my return, we left together for sightseeing, a female staff chased after us as we were walking out of the lobby and told us that we should have put up the do not disturb sign if we were in the room. but isn't it common courtesy to knock before entering the room' there was no apology or explanation as to why the guy went into our room. That night we returned and grabbed our room key from the front desk then headed up to our room, the lights wouldn't turn on. Apparently there was a power outage in our room (maybe that's why the guy stormed in that morning, but still never got an explanation), but shouldn't they have told us about the power outage when we asked for our room key' then we got moved into a very lovely suite one floor below with a bottle of champagne, that was very nice! but thing got worse from that point. since we just found out that we had to move so we packed our stuff in our old room in the dark and moved the luggage into the new room, there were a little noise made from moving. The French lady next door came out screaming at us twice and called the front desk complaining about us. then we got a call from the manager giving us a bad attitude and questioned us why we were making noises. uhh... you just moved us into a new room'! then the manager was saying that we should have been done moving since we have returned the old room key, as if it was our fault that we had to move. hello! how are we going to go to bed if we don't unpack and take a shower' the sound proof in this hotel is really bad. I could hear the French lady complaining to her partner about us that night, and our rooms were connected by a locked door. also, in our original room the first morning, I heard my neighbor getting ready in the morning and woke me up. most staff in the front desk were not nice and each item in your mini fridge costs 4 euro including water. we only found that out upon check out, there was no price list in either room we stayed. you only get one free bottle of water the first day.
Excellent stay in this well-located hotel. I needed to sleep over in Paris for an important meeting, and I was first put in a room at the first floor which was very very nice and big, but a bit noisy (street lights right under the window). When I asked to move me to another room, this was no problem and I received a room at 5th floor, excellent service!!! Would definitely return.
"Very good please to spend your vacation in "
I have a great experience with this hotel, very clean and tidy, staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. There many restaurants around the hotel, it's five minutes walking to the Champs Elysees street. 15 minutes walking away from Eiffel Tower. Actually all sight seeing places are few minutes away from the hotel.
"AMAZING !!!! BOOK IT !! Everything was incredible!"
This hotel couldnt have been better ! It was for a very romantic weekend with my boyfriend and I had contacted the staff numerous times in advance to get the best room possible and they were very helpful , although a certain room couldnt be guaranteed , they said they would try their very best , and wow did they ! I booked a Junior suite for 2 nights . I believe they have 3 colours for the suites, red , green and gold. I asked would it be possible to have the gold suite as that was my favourite. They gave us the gold junior suite on the 5th floor with a wrap around balcony . Room 54 ! wow It was really stunning! it was a good size 30m2 with a beautiful view. I had paid in advance to have a bottle of champagne in the room and a large packet of rose petals on the bed and it was really worth it for a beautiful and romantic touch. The staff really went out of their way to make everything perfect ! The interior of the hotel was so charming and romantic and in my opinion it was far better to stay in a smaller boutique hotel as it really captures the Parisian charm and elegance rather than being in a big hotel. The location was just ideal ! 5 minutes walk from the metro Franklin Roosevelt and just a few minutes walk from the Champs Elysee, 15 min walk to the Eiffel tower . The staff were all incredibly nice and always helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags with them as we arrived early and upon checking out we could again leave our bags as our train left in the evening. The breakfast was perfect and if you book through the hotels website you get breakfast for free ( normally 19eur each). they had a selections of breads and pastries, hot breakfast such as eggs and sausages, cereals, yogurt, and cold breakfast such as cheeses, salmon, sliced meats and also coffee tea and orange juice. We had everything we needed to have a great start to the day. Overall a wonderful experience ! The suite is well worth the extra money and I would definitely stay here again. The location and the romantic room and the staff made everything perfect !
