"All time favorite."
Well this is probably my 6th or 7th stay. i consider it as one of the best hotels in rome. amazing service , rooms , garde , spa , gym , location. its full package if you willing to pay for the price. Had my christmas brunch there which was also my birthday lunch. was really cool and crowded. thumps up for the concierge team and F&B team who managed to get us in the list for the brunch since we only booked a day ahead and it was fully booked.
"A garden hideaway in the middle of the city"
Hotel de Russie is the perfect hideaway in a chaotic city! Step into the lobby and immediately exhale when you see the beautiful garden restaurant in the middle of the property. You'll forget you're in the middle of a huge metropolis. Yet step outside and you are in the heart of the mecca! Turn right and you'll be in the Piazza del Popolo, a large open area full of tourists and locals, or turn left and shop your heart out! Walk a bit further that direction and be at the Spanish Steps (not a big deal to me, just some steps with lots of tourists!). My room was fantastic. I was in the Junior Suite, I think. Worth it. In the evening I went to the Stravinskij Bar for a drink. So cozy, classy and relaxing. The spa was also wonderful! Had a pedicure. Ahhhh! Overall, Hotel de Russie is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. May I suggest a tour of the city in a tiny Fiat with BICI and BACI Tours'! It was a BLAST! Oh, and if you go in the winter make sure you grab some roasted chestnuts from a street vendor. Yum!
"Best hotel in Rome"
This is my fifth stay at Hote lDe Russie, as usual everything was so amazingly perfect from, welcome to cleanliness to comfort to food... I am so sure this is the best hotel in ROME by far, location is really so accessible to shopping and all heritage sites.
"January in Rome"
Great location, excellent concierge and front desk. Rooms are spacious but a little dated. The outdoor dining and bar area are great but in winter, that is not a draw. The interior bar is not inviting.
"Our favorite hotel in Rome"
Rome is the most beautiful, historic, and art and architecture-blessed places on earth. It is small enough to walk all over. The de Russie is not centrally located, but is next to the lively Piazza del Popolo and the Borghese Gardens and Borghese Museum. The view of Rome from the Gardens is splendid. The museum contains Carravaggios, Raphaels and Berninis, including the gorgeous and impossibly delicate Apollo and Daphne. There are also several excellent restaurants close by. For these reasons alone, we would probably stay in this relatively quiet part of Rome, but the de Russie is wonderful. It is in an old palace and retains the large, lovely courtyard and terraced garden. The hotel's bar and restaurant open onto the courtyard and terraces and food and drink are served there year round. The loveliness of this setting is another reason for our choice of this hotel. The service can be slow, but it is very courteous and the food is excellent. Our suite faced south and was off the street, so it was bright and quiet. The furniture was very comfortable. The bathroom needed updating: one single pedestal sink with no nearby place for toiletries, and a rainforest showerhead with no accompanying hand nozzle. My husband loves these showerheads, but I do not. All of the service in the room, the concierge, and reception were gracious and excellent. It was our fourth visit. We will absolutely return.
