"OH MY GOD"
This hotel needs to be closed for sure. it was one of the worst maybe the worst experience i have had in the hotel category. When i checked-in i noticed that they gave me a room full of humidity and with a bad smell. After i complained, they changed it to a another room but very cold. we put the AC on in order to have some heat but it took one day to pass from 14 degrees Celcius to 18 degrees. he had to borrow an electric heating from the receptionist. For the room service, the room didn't have a number that allows you to reach the reception or any other services.I went to the restaurant and no one was there. I tried to order ice but they told me that they don't have ice in this hotel. I have more and more things to say and this was only in 2 days. The problem is that this hotel has a nice artistic architecture and that the staff is very helpful but the top management does a very bad job. They should close it, sell it and open again
"Worst SPA ever"
I booked in the spa for moroccan bath and i was shocked..first they had no towels and i was given an old damp bath robe, then when i asked for water as i was extremely thirsty they said they have none and it would take a long time to get it from the restaurant, i will never go there again..AVOID at all costs
"Avoid at all cost!"
Visually the hotel is very nice and well designed and the wifi is free however... sadly, these are probably the only positive things I can say about it. The young lady at the front desk was very impolite and seems she forgot that her job is to serve the guests. Maintenance is a serious issue as the room was very pretty however in a horrible situation, bathroom sink wasn't draining the water, the bath was full with rust, the curtains were dirty and the couch as well... felt like in a cheap motel in the 70s' The water in the swimming pool were dirty and foul. PS. don't think that for the high price of the room you will get some liquid soap or some nice body cream... Anyhow, I think you got the message, I was really disappointed and think this hotel has a great potential but currently doesn't worth the money.
"Times change it's 2016"
After travelling by train from Marrakech for about 4 hrs this was an unbelievable oasis in Casablanca. A beautiful reception area, where we were given coffee and Moroccan pastries whilst our bags were taken to the suite. When the door was opened and we entered it was fabulous, two bathrooms, separate lounge with a full size bar and a giant bed.Bedding and towels of good quality along with toiletries. Breakfasts were just as big at the buffet breakfast bar. Nice pool, could do with a coat of paint, sauna was fine. From the doorman and onwards the staff were well mannered, well dressed and polite and helpful. The only downside we found was the overweight, ignorant, full of there own importance clients. If I could change anything it would be to stop cigar smoking in the restaurant,it made us forgo eating there. Thank you to all the staff especially the beautiful receptionist who went above and beyond to help us on our railway journey back to Marrakech.
"great despite the reviews"
I visited this hotel in 2007 when it was called golden tulip, now that has changed. it's 4 stars officially. . and is worth it. rooms are spacious and comfy. air-condition works WiFi on all time everwhere, can't say that of most hotels on earth!! staff perfect. clean, spotless, well cared for. there are two important points though: I booked the holiday with Travelrepublic which took my money promising I could manage trip at any time upto 2 days before the start of the trip. when I needed to change dates they offered to do it for the price of one day' stay which is all I wanted to change anyway! I approached the hotel administration directly and they changed the booking for free so thanks for that the second bit is that 8 years ago when I came here I was too scared to actually walk out of the hotel because it is in a remote place and the area being desolate. now things have changed a bit and it is very promising around here. you can actually buy cigarettes and simple stuff from around the area and will improve with time. actually the best fish market is a walking distance from the hotel where you can buy fresh (at good prices ) fish and have it cooked there and then. staff are so helpful (if they can) and will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. my advice is. . come here if you want but hire a car from the airport for £15-20 pounds a day, then venture into casablanca every day after breakfast to shop, sightseeing, or enjoying the place. Even though casablanca is not the friendliest place in Morocco, you will still be able to find your sought after prize wherever you go.
