"Disaster!!! Never staying here again!"
We stayed in Hotel Elizabeth Cebu for 4 nights and totally regret our choice of a hotel. The Hotel seemed very nice and good location, so we thought we could have nice relax holiday there. Unfortunately we were awaken every morning at 5am by an extremely loud noise next door room, as people were gathering there and talking all morning. We couldn't sleep so we had to call front desk and ask for assistance to sort out the issue. They seemed to ignore us as the noise kept ongoing and we had to call them further 4 times. When we went out for the day, we kindly asked them to change our room, because it seemed that they couldn't handle the situation. Straight answer of "we are fully booked" was given, but they advised us that they will speak with the guest next door (although I checked online, and available rooms to book were showing). Next morning exactly the same situation has happened again, we called few times and no assistance was given from the team.. On the checking out, I asked a member from higher management to contact me via email to explain the experience I had, as the duty manager who talked to us couldn't say anything but only "I'm sorry". No contact was made and we felt that we were ignored AGAIN. I personally work in the hotel business for the past 10 years, and this experience I haven't faced in my life. Very poor service! I would definitely never stay here again!
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my husband and 2kids. LOCATION: Really good. 5-10minutes walk to I.T park or Cebu Ayala mall. Less than 10 minutes drive to Sto. Nino Church/Magellan's Cross, Cebu Cathedral, Cebu Heritage park and Yap-San Diego Heritage House. There's a café adjacent of the hotel. FOOD: The breakfast is excellent. It served asian and western type of food. A lot of choices to choose. From bread to cereal to rice meals. ROOM SPACE: Moderately huge Problem: WIFI, there's no wifi in the room for 2 nights when we were there. The receptionist was informed and just told us that the engineering is going to fix it. Staff: Sorry but I find the front desk personnel lack of customer-service as they do not know how to sympathize to their customer's complain or needs. The staffs in the dining area is far better and serve their guests well. Sometimes a simple smile can do a trick!
Hotel Elizabeth is a very nice "go to place" in Cebu because it's located in the heart of the city. It has many near establishments where you could just walk by. The price is not that bad and the staff are really friendly. One good thing that I enjoyed was the massage places just outside the Hotel. The Hotel is perfect for Business trips because it's near the Central Business District of Cebu. You can also walk the Ayala Mall Cebu because it's just a few blocks away!
"good place, pleasant stay"
booked here last august to attend a medical convention in cebu. (on separate venue) me and a colleague shared on 1 room and it was spacious enough for us to share. it was neat and tidy, the bathroom was very clean . hotel reception was very professional, we had a quick checked in. breakfast was good tasting and had many choices (though we ate a lot at the conference venue). we also had a chance to visit ayala mall, as it was just a few minutes away from hotel elizabeth. it was a pleasant stay, and would definitely be back for a vacay next time.
"Good location & Good value"
The room given to me was quite spacious and clean. The hotel staff are very helpful, they even allowed me to check-in earlier (11am). The hotel's location is like 3 to 5 minutes walk to Ayala Center Cebu. The buffet breakfast was okay, although I think they could still improve the selection and the food quality. They could also improve the speed of their wifi. Generally I had a pleasant stay. If you want value for money and good location, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
