"Great Views, Wonderful Staff, Stellar Breakfast"
We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stop-over at this hotel. The staff is first rate and everyone was authentically friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is a lovely old-school property, and although it could use a little bit of TLC in a few places due to its age, we were able to overlook this due to the amenities and excellent service. The breakfast was wonderful, and the pool and grounds are gorgeous. We would definitely spend more time if/when returning to Majorca.
"A charming if slightly tired property with lovely staff!"
We stayed for four nights mid-October, and had a lovely time. I would echo many of the other reviews...the staff are universally wonderful. The property itself is brilliantly located with gorgeous views, but is slightly tired (although the new bathroom in our room was great!) with rather uninspired cuisine. We stayed in the annex, which we loved, as it felt quite private and quiet. Breakfasts were fine, but lunches a bit hit and miss. We didn't dine in the evening based on the Tripadvisor reviews we had read. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and there are lots of good dining options in town.
"I would say, bang average. But lots of people like it."
Granted, I didn't see the Es Moli at its best. It rained pretty much all of the time. So the pool, the terrace etc etc did not happen for me. You guys seem to love it, but it's not for me. I think what you are loving is the incredible view and the whole magical ambience of Deia. If you cast you eyes down at the Hotel itself, well........it's ok. The one piece is crucial information I can give is that if they say you are in the annex, you can expect to be half way up the mountain. Fine when you are driven up be "Junior" (is he not a James Bond character') but when you have to get there after that, it's a climb!
Hotel exceeded our expectations. The sight and the views were excellent and what really made the holiday was the attentive and friendly staff. We have been recommending the hotel to our family and friend on our return and certainly hope to be back again in the not too distant future. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and my wife was delight that the staff, in particular in the restaurant they accommodated her gluten free need and shellfish allergy with great professionalism! We visited the muletta cove every day and returned to sunbathe in the beautiful gardens. Loved our room and the huge balcony! It was all so perfect and relaxing and the ideal way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Great memories
"A good place for a retreat'"
A lovely situation and views but difficult roads to nip about on! Great for a few days retreat but limited activities for extended stays! Amenities at hotel all fine and comfortable with excellent bathrooms! The hotel private cove is miles away - we were told an hours walk, but can be reached by car or hotel bus but hardly convenient - and swimming is off rocks! If you plan to walk, do your homework before you arrive - very limited information at hotel. Be aware of how small Deia actually is - perhaps better for a visit than an extended stay unless you are artistically inclined or sit a lot! Finally it seems rather mean to have a cover charge for tap water in main hotel restaurant! Glad to have stayed but won't be coming back.
