Beautiful hotel with excellent service, location is fairly convenient, close to lots of restaurants and shopping streets. Worth the money for sure!Comment of Z. Nicole , Australia the 2015-05-22
Outstanding hospitality. I have stayed at the Hankyu for a couple of days during a concert trip to Osaka and Tokyo. The hotel is very large and the rooms are big and luxurious. I had a room on the 26th floor with a stunning city view. The hotel restaurants serve traditional japanese food ( incl. breakfast ) and international cuisine. The service is very discreet and always helpful. next to the hotel, you can find a large public SPA club and indoor pool. Hotel guests may use the facilities for a small extra charge. The hotel is based inside the "Umeda Arts Center" with its concert / theater halls. The surrounding area of the hotel with shopping and dining can be reached by walking. I can highly recommend this hotel to Japan- visitors. The transfer from the airport takes about 80 minutes. Osaka is a very large city.
"Fantastic luxurious hotel with the best staff "
This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We arrived off our flight from Europe tired and soaked to the skin by the Osaka rain. When we arrived the staff literally dried us off with towels took our sodden coats etc and made sure that they were all dried and lovely when we went to our room Room was spectacular. Best views ever and a bathroom I could have lived in. They gave you enough toiletries to last a 100 years. Oh and jammies! The hotel itself is really well located for everything. Shops restaurants and transport including the Shinkansen all within really easy reach. Later on in our trip we actually discovered that the underground d station nearest us went straight to Kyoto! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and cannot wait to return.
"Spacious rooms in central Osaka"
My friends and I stayed in this hotel for three nights and had an overall great experience. The rooms are spacious, clean and had great views of the city. The location couldn't be better, situated within walking distance to Umeda and Osaka Station where you can shop and eat til you drop. The staff are professional, courteous and always willing to help. The amenities provided are also better than most other hotels of similar cost. The decor of the rooms are a little bit outdated in my opinion, but considering the location and size of the room, it is pretty good value for money.
"Great location, not-so-great sleep"
We stayed in the Hotel Hankyu International for four nights, and overall it was a good experience, marred by quite a small yet important detail - PILLOWS. I'll start with the good: excellent location in the heart of Osaka, with restaurant and shopping options everywhere you turn and close to a couple of stations; great size rooms with big bathrooms and fabulous showers; outstanding views of Osaka. The bad: if you value different pillow options to assist with a good night's sleep, this is *not* the hotel for you. There are two pillow options - a rock hard foam core one and a too soft feather down one, which supports your head for all of two minutes. Both of these options were incredibly uncomfortable for me, and when we approached the hotel about an 'in between' option, we were told they didn't have anything other than those two. From a five star hotel, I expect a basic pillow menu. The lack of options resulted in two nights of terrible sleep and a persistent headache from neck strain, and I had to take matters into my own hands and head down to the local Don Quixote and spend AUD$40 on a better pillow. After forking out a couple of grand already for the hotel, this is not an expense I was happy about, not to mention the fact I had to sacrifice family time to hunt a decent pillow down. While I feel like a privileged Goldilocks writing this review, you pay good money for five star hotels expecting basics like pillow options to ensure a good nights' sleep and to maximise the quality of your holidays. I was disappointed that a hotel of Hankyu International's standards didn't offer this, and the fact it actually affected my stay means it's worth flagging for future guests.
My family and I stayed at the Hotel Hankyu International Osaka for 5 nights and I can honestly say maybe the best hotel we have ever stayed at! The staff are so friendly and very professional, the hotel itself is unreal, the rooms, bed are amazing, great location, close to shops, restaurants.... we will stay at this hotel again when we go back to japan!
