It was a nice modern and cozy hotel. Great personel at the reception. Small rooms but stylish. Food was fresh though a little more choices would have been welcome. Live jazz music that evening was a great plus.
"Small but good"
Great location, breakfast, room standard. Friendly staff. But probably the smallest double room i've ever stayed at. Hostels included. But desent price and everything else was good so i wont complain.
"Excellent location, excellent facilities"
We booked a room in Hotel Hellsten for a long weekend. The location is excellent - really central, there is a T-station 2 minutes away as well as bike stands if you wish to hire a bike. The staff was extremely helpful and provided loads of advise on what would be the best places to visit. Our room was lovely, it was very comfortable and had everything you would need. The heated floors in the bathroom were a treat after a long day of sightseeing! Breakfast was really tasty and we really enjoyed the variety of food that was offered. I would strongly recommend Hellsten Hotel and would definitely go back next time we are in Stockholm!
"Nice and comfortable place in the city"
nice and quite location downtown, individually designed rooms, traditional but modern, nice place to stay for some nights. I will definitely think of returning to this hotel at my next visit to stockholm
"Worth the money"
Went with a group of eight people to stay at this hotel for a four day trip. We all stayed in the right wing when you stand in front of the building. There is another Hellsten's hotel in central Stockholm that has a restaurant and a sauna, this one doesn't have that. The tree outside is 246 years old (in 2016). The steps outside are not baggage friendly since it's all large cobblestone pathway. The breakfast room is in the basement. There is a lounge room off to the side of the reception. The rooms vary in size, we had four of them and only two were exacly the same. Two of the rooms had a really small bathroom, the one I was in had a large bathroom. The rooms have a twin bed (or two singles pushed together), bedside table on one side, lamps, small desk with a chair and a closet, the space around the bed was enough to get around the room but not more than that. No special place to put your bags so they were in the space around the bed. The flooring is unique, raw wood. There isn't a safe or a water heating station in the rooms either. There was a baggage storing option on our last day. Free wifi in all the rooms. The hotel is really close to the bus station and Zinkensdamm train station and getting around was easy. Would be cool to visit the other Hellsten's hotel just to get a comparison. Would stay there again.
